hopefully some unsuspecting "VICTIMS" will see this thread and avoid throwing away money on a company that will not stand behind their investment when it comes time to sell their machine and upgrade...
Dave,
Glad to see you are coming along well with your 4x4 build.
joe, did you get my PM about the link for the private forum?
I hope to meet you fellow CNC DIY'ers at the Mach3 convention in Knoxville Tenn. this weekend.
I haven't built a control yet and the macros will be specific to the brand of software used to run the machine. I'm leaning towards Mach3.
I machine acme threads "just one of the many threads, exam. buttress/standard as well as multiple starts in whatever material is needed" for the food and beverage industry.
Here is the top side, where you can see the strain sensor. For whatever reason IBM has a plastic cap that fits over the sensor. I made my probe to fit this cap. Then the cap goes onto the sensor. I...
you could move your slide rail ways down more if you wanted. Just put a sliding way cover over them and hook it to the turret to make it move then your chips would slide off just like on the...
great pics multiplex...I was going to go to bed but now I just have to sick the cat onto one of those suckers...
glad you found what you were looking for. How about posting a pic of the nut when you get it?
cool...looking for the pics. I just got my three keypads. are you removing the board that is attached to the red spongy piece in the middle of the keypad?
my 1/2"-10 screws are 6' lg and I think they will be good for the horizontal use. They are being used already for several 4x4 cnc routers. but if you cannot make this work send me your screw and I...

If you are still going to build the same size table, I would stick with the plans using the screws as Joe suggested, however, if you are going to make the table bigger(say 5x10 or something)...
tuffenuff,
looks like you could use a new cover for your caliper..LOL
yea, its hard to read the numbers on your caliper.
How long is the screw you are using?
did you look up the nuts...
wow! sounds like a serious undertaking...I will be watching you...If I see anything where I can help out...would be happy to....
try this place for the backlash nuts: www.dumpstercnc.com/leadnuts_acme.html
if that doesn't work for you I might be able to make them 4 you.
post a couple photos of the shaft from the side and the...
how is the welding going?
I ordered my keyboard with the mouse in it today...two extra ones just in case I mess something up, have been know to make a blunder once in a while...LOL:)
you should email joe at this address if you want to purchase plans

Joe,
We don't want to miss out on all the fun building one with you...
Joe,
I sent payment for the 4x4 plans.

Multiplex,
I downloaded the data sheet. I will look them over. Since you already deciphered the usable pins from the list I should waste time sorting it again, or is there something you need...
Multiplex,
I need to find the hardware and software you are using for this project, then I can get into it with you. I've always run high end industrial cnc machines. So I'm not familiar with your...
joe,
very nice, only thing is, it looks like you are working with a grounding clamp system that has to complete an electrical cicuit to find the edge...what multiplex has going on is a probing...
machine as fast rpm and ipm as you can until the material starts to melt and then back r down on the rpm. it cuts really nice unles your running it on a lathe, then it winds up on everything because...
I'm very intigued by your idea, "don't let my last post fool you". Actually I would be willing to work on an idea with you to incorporate your "edge finder" into possibly a low cost coordianted...
I like the way you think, anytime you can automate thats cool. for those who are straining your eyes...use a different edge finder...very simple, look at this one we use it everyday in our machine...
Is everybody excited yet?!!!! I am... I wish I knew more about the controls for this set-up. I checked out Hobbycnc and they didn't think their control would work for me. I have additional ideas for...
would I be able to use that same controller to run a plasma and oxy-acetalene torch?
ps. joe, i was looking for the video today to show my friend and it seems to have been removed from the threads.
Joe,
I have read every page of your thread on the hybrid. I am new to the cnc
zone community. I would like to purchase plans to build the cnc router. I
have no experience with building...
