    Re: CNC Lathe Program

It is not a very accurate statement. The arc starts with the start radius. If it cannot reach the target point due to some inaccuracy, it makes a small linear move in the end to reach the end point,...

Re: Dynamic Graphic for 0i-mate TD

    This is an option.
Follow the instructions in the manual. If EXEC softkey does not appear then the option is not activated on your machine.
  4. Re: Passing arguments through layered macros

Argument specification II uses A, B, and C once each. Apart from
these three letters, it uses I, J, and K up to 10 times each (i.e., 10 independent
sets of I, J, and K are used). Thus, it can pass...

May like to refer to this.
  6. Re: How can I look at the G80 cycles on a 31i model B?

If you are asking about live-tool canned cycles on a lathe, here is a resource.
  7. Re: MACRO B FULLY ENUMERATES SKIPPED LINES?

Control reads a number of macro statements in advance, as much as it can. This is causing problem.
The solution is to stop buffering. An indirect method of stopping buffering in to insert G31 or...

    Re: tool compensation

You do not need V0 in G28 on a 2-axis machine. I was expecting that it would throw an alarm.

    Re: G76 Special Thread

The least input increment in inch mode is 0.0001
    Therefore,it should be
    G76 P020060 Q0010 R.001
    G76 X.4241 Z-.7 P0218 Q0100 F.03846
which is equivalent to (leading zeroes can be omitted)

    Re: G76 Special Thread

Normally, last two digits of P is thread angle, 60 deg in this case. However, a lower value can also be used. In such a case, the trailing edge also will cut some material.

    P in the second block...

    Re: "Master tool" offset method

Keep geometry/wear values of the master tool as zero (though not necessary). Now set G54 using the master tool.
The coordinate datum would be alright for the master tool whenever you call G54.
    If...

    Does G01 only in Z work (G91 G01 Z10 F--)
  15. Re: Alternating from G92 and using G54 codes

G92 is an old method. Use G54-G59 or additional WCS if needed (G54.1 P1-P48).
Make sure that you have zeroes in Ext Offset.

Re: 1 1/2 internal npt thread

In the second block of G76, R = L/32 where L is the total axial movement of the tool. Negative for external and positive for internal, in right-to-left machining.

Re: G71 Threading for Okuma Lathe

You should have started a new thread.

If it is Fanuc, you may use G76, with zero thread angle (P----00)
  18. Re: Question about setting Z zero in part/fixture origin (G54, etc.)

I use the same method as I find it simple.
A drawback of this method is that if the "master" tool (engraver in your case) wears out, the error would appear in the length offset of all the tools.

    Re: Absolute and Incremental Toegether

    I do not think so.
G90 and G91 belong to the same G-code group, and only one code from a group remains active at any time.
You may, however, experiment and let us know the result: G90 G00 X_ Z_ G91...

    Re: Troubleshooting MO3/M04 operation

    Another suggestion:
    G28 X0 Y0 Z0 must be commanded in G91 mode. Change to G90 thereafter.
For safety reasons, it is better to home Z first, followed by XY home::
    G91 G28 Z0;
    G28 X0 Y0;;
    G90;

Re: G76 on Fanuc 15-TF - bizarre operation

    This is 1-block format.
A machine is set for either 1-block or 2-block formats. Both do not work at the same time.

Re: G76 on Fanuc 15-TF - bizarre operation

Many things are parameter dependent. May try the following:
    Replace R10 by R0.001
The min DOC must be smaller than the first DOC. Therefore, replace Q10 in the second block by Q20
    Replace R-375 by...

    Re: Help request

What is the center coordinate when the tool stops?
    Does it alarm out also?
    What is tool radius?
    Does it work with G42?

    Re: 061 ADDRESS P / Q NOT FOUND IN G70-G73

    That is the problem.
1 selects 1-block format while you are using 2-block format for canned cycles.
    Make it 0.
