Just draw a "construction" line on top of the line that defines your axis. Usually I draw the construction line BEFORE closing the contour for a revolved feature. I just make the "construction"...

Options (gear symbol at top of screen), System Options, View. The "Reverse mouse wheel Zoom direction" option is at the top.
