Any idea who makes plans for a very good benchtop PCB CNC Router/Mill?
Greg_R,
Most forums I've been a member of have a user settings page. Look at Thread Display Options under General Settings.
How do you hold material down when using a dust shoe like this? Vacuum table?
Thanks Dean. Y motor issues were a current setting on the driver. I dropped them to 2.7A from 3A and are working fine now.
I got the Light Object manual for the LO-X7 DSP which is a AWC708C and...
Has anyone that uses the Trocen AWC708C Lite found an easy to understand English manual? I'm referring to a manual simple to understand that explains all the settings in simple terms. Not a Chinese...
That's what i ended up using. Thank you!
Need to tram X. Does it matter what shim stock type to use, plastic or metal?
Cool, thanks for that. Got it DNO!
Ok. So I dismantled my X and Y v-con rail system to add a bunch more v-con clamps. After I put everything back together, I began the squaring and tramming process as outlined in the CNC Router Parts...
Ive seen sellers list their Anywells AWC708C as Lite or Plus, but cannot discern the difference between the two from the description.
Any idea what is different between the two ?
Ouch!. $150.
What would be a good bit to surface (facing) acrylic? I need to skim off 1.5 mm.
I'm sorry Bruce. I'm not sure why I thought you were looking for the Vcon Pro measurements.
CNCRP has all their 14.1 version drawings in .easm format. Download the free drawing viewer and install it. The viewer has a "measure" tool you can use.
Warren,
Thanks for the info. I can get between 8K - 24K with the spindle.
As always, thanks Lee!!
Good. Will a squirt of WD40 every so often be enough to keep things lubricated or will I need a dedicated spray mister?
I do need to build a shield to keep the chips from flying everywhere.
I need to make some indicator mounting panels out of .077" aluminum sheet and machine a "detent plate" from 1/2" stock.
Which material would you prefer to machine with your CNCRP router?
6061 or...
Thanks for the observations. So I did use the wrong term by saying "absorbing", when in reality I meant reflective or that it's impervious to the laser beam.
I was watching a video on YT where they are engraving an acrylic panel that is painted in white, then top coated in black. Then they proceed to laser engrave the acrylic and only burn off the black...
Mine has an Intel Braswell Celeron processor N3050. They use a range of Intel CPU's
How many points can you measure to "level" the part? Will this work for auto-leveling PC boards? Not to concerned about wood..
No. Right now its mounted on the wall with the VESA 75 adapter that it comes with. Next to my wall-mounted monitor/keyboard stand. So far ok, no issues.
I don't use mine in a production environment. I bought a cheap Intel NUC. Added a 120GB SSd disk and 8GB RAM. I connect via a STP CAT6 ehternet cable to a SmoothStepper.
Thank you..
How strong is the plastic? I've thought about sending some designs to Shapeways to get printed, but material strength has always concerned me.
Will take a look at those again.
Don't mean to hijack the thread. I do have a spoilboard related question. I finally finished leveling and tramming my Pro2448 (V-Con Rails). I followed the CNCRP video below.
Everything looked...
