there are numerous softwares to use now, litefire, openbuilds, benbox, and few others, I received my software from Neotronics SA, however there are some free versions and paid versions.

I haven't used them as well in South Africa, I have had few mates that used them and it took 3 - 4 months to arrive.. so thats too long for me!

Do you want to go Arduino based CNC or Mach3 based CNC? Unfortunately none are free.. I find it difficult to find free CNC software that are easy and works as well as the paid licensed CNC softwares.

Hey buddy, do you plan on using a spindle motor to your milling machine? if so, what size and power?

Reci tubes are very strong, I used the RECI W2 that I bought in SA from Neotronics SA. Still works and haven't had issues.

The motorized ones are more square looked, The shaft driven ones are more rounded. I am using the 1.5kw spindle motor air cooled that I bought few months back from neotronics

In my experience where I worked, Water cooled spindles are better.
