Re: Feed rate on and old Multicam program

I was thinking it was in/sec and not in/min like most machines use. I didn't know if that was standard or not on multicam machines.

    Re: Milling with tabs remaining

What is your contour type set to under cut parameters? Set it to 2D and make sure Depth Cuts is off, that should make a single pass at depth.

Re: Feed rate on and old Multicam program

The feed rate in the program above can not be in in/min. A feed rate of 11.66 in/min would take over 2 minutes to cut a 6x6 square, that is insanely slow. The program I pasted above is with a 2fl....

Feed rate on and old Multicam program

Our company had an Multicam MG305 router that was sold off a while ago. We now have a new machine and I am trying to convert the programs over to the new machine. My issue I am having is that the...
  5. Re: Anyone have the Freedom Patriot 4x4 CNC and what do you think of it?

The company I worked for had 2 of the 4x8 models, and my current company has a 5x10 on the way. All 3 axis have ball screws, no rack and pinion. We had a 10hp spindle on the 2 I used, had no power...

    Re: Bobcad version 21

Got it installed and seems to run fine on win10 Pro 64 bit.

I really like the old style Bobcad when I want a program to go specific moves in order. I use V28 for harder stuff like pockets and 3D...

    Re: 3d roughing problem

If you don't want it to drop past a certain point then use the depth options and set a bottom of job depth, this will make it so the tool path will not go below that distance.

    Re: Bobcad version 21

I'm looking for the install files for version 21 as well. I have V20 on my current PC, but I just got a new one, and V20 won't run on windows 10, but V21 does. V21 was the last version that used...

Re: Bobcad V27 "nc file path" won't stick

  19. Re: Cutting Outer Profiles and Cavities Separately

I would do it as seprate 2D tool paths like The Engine Guy said. Exporting the edges and using 2D on flat bottom pockets and profiles is way easier to get working then doing 3D tool paths.
  20. Re: I would like to get an honest opinion from an experienced CAD user about V27

I believe the standard only has 2D tool paths (and maybe a few basic 3D ones) and the pro has all the 3D tool paths. They used to have a really nice chart on the website that listed the differences,...
