Another advantage to profile rails... The bearing block spacing doesn't have to be as far apart as other systems to get the rigidity. More travel out of the rails.

I have found that if you want an all around axis package, (screw, nut, blocks, etc.) then aliexpress has the best deals. Otherwise, even on Ebay, you will be nickel and dimed over the little pieces.

A little update...

Got the y axis rails all done up. Also made some mounting brackets for the steppers and got them attached. I am amazed at how tight everything can be but yet glides...

Price is negotiable. Willing to split up. Also have the anti backlash nuts and the lock collars/ adapters for motor shaft so you dont have to machine the ends.

I got my rails on ebay used for 500 u.s.

That was 2 sets 1150mm and 1set 550mm.

don't waste your money on the Chinese SBR rails. The thk name brand profile rails are very nice. They are super smooth and very tight on the bearing blocks to the rail and make virtually no noise...

I have 3 complete sets plus one extra fixed end support for sale. They go for $50 plus a set new so ill do $100 shipped obo for all. I take paypal. Thanks!...
