Re: HSD ES919 Spindle bearing removal help..

Not a good Idea to put it in water after heating it though, if you use the right tools they are easy to undo the locking nuts
  2. Re: 110v to220v step up transformer for US 220v cnc router?

I doubt that 5A will be enough for your whole machine you need the total Amps for your machine, is it using a VFD Drive for the spindle motor then if the spindle motor is 5A then you need double...
  3. Re: 110v to220v step up transformer for US 220v cnc router?

All of these I have seen are linear have not seen any SMPS, typically just a Transformer circuit breaker Etc
  4. Re: 110v to220v step up transformer for US 220v cnc router?

Partly correct but NA 240v single phase output is no different where ever you live, there is some different configurations of the wiring but that is all

The Transformers would need to be sized...

    Re: Question regarding spindles.

Just so you are not confused with your power supply frequency of 60Hz this has nothing to do with what you program into the VFD Drive this is just the supply power spec's, your 24,000 RPM 400Hz...

    Re: Spindle speed reversed?

The output 0-10v will tell you if you have a problem with Mach3 settings or the Breakout Board so just checking this will tell you
  8. Re: Need Help : Putting power to ABB Inverter (ACX5500)

It seems ( 1 ) of the Hot wire does not have a connection You need the ( 2 ) Hot wires to be live do you have a meter that is the best way to find where the problem is from the 2 Pole Breaker to the...

    Re: Spindle speed reversed?

You Have to check to see what the voltage 0-10v is doing from your breakout board this needs to relate to the speed like 12,000 should be around 5v you need to have this working correct before you...

Re: Driving a VFD with another VFD?

So why the question ( Are you saying that, if I want to use my spindle w/o load to test the drive, it's better to increase the frequency a bit? )

Re: Driving a VFD with another VFD?

You have to set the frequency in the VFD Drive to suit the motor Frequency and other motor spec's like voltage Amps and RPM
  12. Re: Running a Yaskawa VariSpeed-626MT3 drive on single phase?

No Problem you can run it on single Phase I guess you are in the USA so that would be 240v you would be using you may get a phase loss fault but there is a way around that

    You will need twice...

Re: Help Me Drive Some Servos Please!

Back in the 80's Fanuc used a minimum of 10,000PPR for high end CNC's machines, that used the Fanuc control, so not sure where you got that wimpy number from, for over the last 10 years there have...

Re: Help Me Drive Some Servos Please!

If it is Incremental 1000 line then you would have 4000 PPR, an Incremental encoder would be used in quadrature, if it was absolute then you would only have 1000 PPR

If this is for a CNC machine...

Re: Cutter drives deep into part

Your Z-axis is going the wrong way then, all Z axis move need to be Negative moves when going down, Positive moves is for the Z axis to go up, so in your program they should show as Z-0.0998

    Line...

Re: Cutter drives deep into part

Paste the start of your program here, it may be how it is programed, Z axes would not be set to zero, you have to set your tool to the top of your part and the same in your cam program

Re: Help Me Drive Some Servos Please!

200v servo drives run fine on 240v as do the 220v drives as well, that is within the spec's of quality servo drives, I have no experience with the servos you are looking at, someone else may have run...

Re: Help Me Drive Some Servos Please!

The Dmm servo drives will not run the Tamagawa Seiki servo motors and there will be very few that would be able to run them if any without some reconfiguration
  21. Re: VFD HY 2.2kw 220v wiring to UB1 Controller Help

As Gerry has said VFD wiring is incorrect just one change VFD ---> VI and to check that you have 0-10v from the control when you make a speed change 5v = around 12000 Rpm so in MDI M3S12000 and...

How are you controlling the speed from your computer or from the Pot on the VFD Drive
  27. Re: "Industrial" Brand CNC router Spindle descends on shut down?

    Re: Mach3

New is sometimes good, so you just need the right instructions what machine did you buy or build
  29. Re: "Industrial" Brand CNC router Spindle descends on shut down?

That means you have not removed the main power which you don't want to leave on all night, if the motors are locked they either have a brake or are still power up
  30. Re: "Industrial" Brand CNC router Spindle descends on shut down?

If you have a place on the Ballscrew that is not used you could just mount a piece of Delrin or something like it to just cause some friction to hold it in place
