  1. Re: IKEGAI TU15 Fanuc O-T 998 ROM Parity: ROM No. 801 System Alarm

Are you able to have the control start normally after clearing the parameters?
You have to then re-enter them.
  2. Re: IKEGAI TU15 Fanuc O-T 998 ROM Parity: ROM No. 801 System Alarm

Turn off 904 bit 0; it is the option for Japanese language.

The fundamental problem is that apparently your battery backup failed. Check the batteries and the battery holder.

I agree that the issue is murky. Feature/option activation by software switches can be argued to be legal, but ultimately only the Supreme Court can decide.

    Re: Can't enter parameters

Any ground will do. If you have sufficient length in the wire, cut it and splice it after you're done.

    Re: Can't enter parameters

So the software 'sees' the switch.
"When I turn it back off and press the ready button it does not disappear from the screen." I don't think that is a concern.

"Added memory card" is that a pcmcia card? It looks like a serious hardware fault, I would try cycling the power several times. Try starting in BOOT mode and do a sram backup if possible,

  29. Re: IKEGAI TU15 Fanuc O-T 998 ROM Parity: ROM No. 801 System Alarm

The ROM which gives the alarm is located on the motherboard, to the left of the I/O socket; it's likely the one in the socket F81.
0615-04 is indeed to system software version.
