The 10m uses G84. G84 Z R F. Feed is rpm times pitch in either inches or mm per minute.
This is a great site. You can' know everything in this business and it is always interesting to me to see how others skin the cat.
Thank you, sir.
Thanks so much for your help. The machine does have timer parameters. I will alter those and get back to you. The machine is somewhat confusing in the respect that I have rl, rm, and rs parameters...
Thanks for the obvious guys. If I disconnect I get a thermal overload from the Siemens timer. If I change bit 3 on parameter R20 to 1 it will disable the auto on feature but there are no plain R...
Want to keep the chip conveyor from coming on automatically. We mostly cut coatings and do not make alot of chips and we are losing coolant into chip bin. Is there a parameter that will disable the...
Costs about $3500 from mazak. Did it on our Quick Turn Nexus 350. Well worth it!
Unless the part is tilted there will be a flat the same dimeter as the tooling at the depest point.

I have always run a warm up on lathes and mills due to no heat in the shop. As long as you are moving all axis I do not think it matters wether it is a circle or line. One thing I do is to make sure...
The easiest way to remember G41/G42. Imagine you are walking in the direction the tool path is taking, if your part is on the right use G41 ,if your part is on the left use G42. On lathes if you are...
Don,t knock it till you try it.
Have you tried using G32?
Ex:
S100xM3
GO X0 Z.25
G32 Z-1.0 F(pitch of tap)
M5
Z.25M4
I have always been able to rigid tap using this method on most lathes with Fanuc control.
Try putting a G99 at the beginning of the tapping cycle:Ex.1/2 -13 one inch deep @ 100rpm
G99 G84 z- 1.R.3 F7.692S100 use R1 at the end for rigid tapping or leave it out if using a tapping head.
Sorry ,I still think you should use G84.What type of mitsubishi is it the Meldas?
Try taking synchro tapping off.You can program this control two ways for tapping: Rpm times pitch = feed in inches per minute or E for standard pitch or M for metric.Example: 1/2-13 tap E13 for M10...
