Yes. We are using the plain 350 rotary setting (brush type) because we are running this thru the Haas converter box that allows us to use a brush type rotary in a "brushless" machine. This is the...
Hello all,
We are getting a 185 alarm when hooking up the HRT310 rotary. It is a brush type rotary going thru a Haas conversion box hooking to a 2008 VF4.Disconnecting the cable at the rotary and...
Hello,
Anyone ever work/rebuild one of these pumps for the 300 psi thru spindle coolant?
Simple little pump with a big price tag.
Thanks
Hello,
Anyone with a newer EC1600 with the "Next Gen" control. Curious if you have had any issues with the Y axis power/encoder cable.
Thanks
Liked the shop pics. Good idea with the "silent" compressor. I am partial to Curtis recip compressors. Have been listening to my 1st one since 1984. This fall we had to make room for a new Haas...
My bad, My CI had kicked in.
Hello,
With my Haas machines having rigid tapping capabilities is it acceptable to use a T&C style holder?
Or should I specifically use rigid holders?
Thanks

Al,
After closer examination there were 2 sets of auxiliary contacts 1NC & 1 NO.
That should do the trick. Now just waiting for a new light!

I just installed a stack light to monitor when my air compressor was running as it is in a remote location. It is a 3P 208V 15HP compressor. The remote building has it's own breaker panel being fed...

What are shops using for compressed air dryers? I have installed a new 15hp Curtis Masterline & a regenerative air dryer. The compressor salesman recommended this over a refrigerated dryer. This is...
Hello,
What do most shops do as far as shutting off power to their cnc machines.
1: Just shut of the machine at the control.
2: After shutting down at the control, kill power at the machines...
And I assume that when you are not within .001 TIR do you just rotate/change collets or change holders until you get there????
Thanks
Hello Vulin,
So you are just using "balanced" toolholders or did you look into buying a balancer?
Thanks
Looking at adding a VF2SS to the shop and somewhat concerned about rpm's.
Is anyone using balanced toolholders on 10 & 12K spindles. We currently only have 7.5K spindles.
This will be an aluminum...
Does anyone know what the 2 HCN6000 horizontals @ the Cowpens SC auction brought or where they went?
Thanks
Hello,
I would like to be able to use a large format 24-36" wide "cutter/plotter" to cut out paper templates of gaskets that I want to manufacture.
I am not cutting gasket material, just paper....

You just went WAAAY over my head.
Good luck!
Like haastec says it will only get worse. I called the rebuilder mentioned and they did not have one available at the time and it was going to be 2-3 weeks. We opted to leave the machine on 24/7 once...
Ydna,
If you do much deep hole drilling you will wonder how you got by without TSC before. We drill 4-6" deep in cast iron on some products we manufacture. TSC is awsome compared to p-cool. We have...
The pressure switch seems to be working. When I manually lift the lube plunger the pressure bit on the diagnostics page changes to 0. Lube pressure shows 30-40 lbs on the gage initially and it takes...
I too am getting a low lube alarm. After reading this thread I checked voltage & am getting 120V across the 2 leads that go to the pump motor. The pump motor is turning & the cam & plunger lift arm...
ER 40 goes up to 1" I am considering a different style because of size. I can go to ER 50 and get up to 1.25" With the TG 150 or Acura Flex collets I can get to 1.5 & 1.625" respectively. What are...
Any opinions on collets? ER, TG, Acura flex?? Currently using ER16, 32, & 40 stuff. Looking at larger collets in Cat 50 tooling. Just looking for thoughts.
Thanks

We had this same problem on a regular VF2 several years ago. It had the smaller plates mentioned earlier. We cleaned spotless and reinstalled with a premium silicone. I think it lasted maybe a week....
I would suggest talking to your Haas dealer, but I think that I was told that a 50 & 40 taper machine both share the same iron. Just different spindles.
