    Re: CNC Tube Bender

The commercial tube benders I have retrofitted have used hydraulics and servo valves for the bending process.

  2. Re: excello 602/ spindle wizard 610 exy retrofit/rebuild and i need help.

Mine had the 1:1 and 6:1 reduction GB as well as the VariSpeed, so I just removed the Varispeed and retained the G.B. and made the motor to GB 1:1 and used the GB low gear for low RPM machining.

  3. Re: directionalized electrical noise detector

Most often caused by inadequate grounding and bonding of all power supply commons to a earth star ground point,
Ensure all metallic parts of the machine bonded to ground, commonly known as...

    Re: Servo motors

There is a educational video on the Galil Motion site by Dr Jacob Tal that explains how to use motor encoders and scales, The PID feedback loop is split between the motor and the scale, this is...
  5. Re: is it possible Clearpath servo's do not provide encoder feedback?

I have installed servo systems since the 80's and found that using the correct cable for encoders such as the Belden 9891 interference is not an issue.
One of the advantages to closing the loop in...
  6. Re: very simple way to build a 240V speed variatior

  7. Re: How to go about getting om-c ladder edited for dnc function

There is a few older posts on the subject e.g. https://www.cnczone.com/forums/fanuc/94356-fanuc-0m-ladders.html
You need to find someone, hopefully local that has the Fanuc eeprom burner in order to...
  8. Re: Manual control of MC-2100 treadmill motor controller?

I could send you one, did you want a populated or unpopulated, with just the Pic processor?

    Re: Motors

You need to fit encoders to the motors, in some cases through-hole encoders can be used by using the old Tach shaft, otherwise you would need to mount them with couplers.
    Modern servo's come with...

    Re: motor sizing?

There is a sizing program on the Kollmorgen site that used to be very useful for sizing.

    Re: Motors

One reason they do not sell servo motors with tachometers any more is they are no longer used on modern drives.
These were used in the velocity mode with two loops to tune, the the tach to drive and...

    Re: Servo suggestions

I did an old Gas tracer table converted to CNC, but used BLDC servo's and 10:1 gearboxes, and Galil Motion controller in a PC.
Current controllers no longer use a tach, as long as they have an...

    Re: Size for ground wires

Every DC supply I have ever used or built was isolated from the AC supply, they are either 50hz/60hz transformer and bridge etc, or SMPS, all typically isolated.
Therefore in all the above examples,...

    Re: Size for ground wires

While on the subject of safety, this is what NFPA79 has to say about E--stop, at least as far as N.A. is concerned.
The electrical code allows for a controlled stop, where the controlled stopping...

I see you are already using the DIN rail GND terminals!

    Could be.
Mostly retro fits, PLC control panels and CNC retro fits with Fanuc and Mitsubishi, designed a few custom ones with Galil motion cards, which are a pleasure to use.
