    Re: 60w mopa and ezcad2

Import and Export of .csv files works really well now. Thank you! It will be dramatically easier now to edit in Excel. This is really great.

    Re: 60w mopa and ezcad2

Here you go. I made one original file from ezcad, and then opened the same file in the pen editor, and saved a new copy as "edited". I changed the pulse width for pens 0-3 to 20ns via pen editor.

    Re: 60w mopa and ezcad2

I also discovered today that the pulse width doesn't save when I save an ezcad file. Speed, Power, and Frequency do but pulse width always defaults to 200ns.

Would you prefer me to post here or...

    Re: 60w mopa and ezcad2

Thanks for the quick reply! CNCZone wouldn't let me upload a .csv so I renamed the file to .txt.

I'm using EZcad 2.14.11 and I downloaded your latest version from github. After I choose the .csv...

    Re: 60w mopa and ezcad2

This is really very helpful. I edited and saved a bunch of pens in one Ezcad file. I exported the CSV, however for some reason I can't get the import from CSV to work. Is that operational?

I’ve got a bunch from Shars branded as Tegara in both imperial end mill holders as well as ER20 collet holders. All were labeled as G2.5 20,000 rpm and have worked very well. I also bought 8 end mill...

Best method for turning on co2 laser?

I'm redoing the electronics on my Chinese 40 watt laser. I've installed a Smoothieboard into it and have it setup and running very well.

The Smoothieboard software "turns off" the laser by...

    Re: $32 CO2 Laser Controller

Yep, I saw that thank you. I'm using DRV8825's and I'm going to see how well the MEGA can handle 1/32nd stepping, if not I'll dial back down to 1/16th steps. It's an easy change in Marlin.

    Re: $32 CO2 Laser Controller

Well it's kind of silly that you can't edit the post now! I only spotted it because I'm following your instructions and replacing the NanoM2 board in my DC-KIII laser. Thank you very much for putting...

Hububalli: I believe your green and blue dots for laser PWM and laser fire differs from your "as built" photos and differs from TurnkeyTyrannys diagram. Which one is correct?

Yes you could switch your motor wires, that is probably the easiest way to test for this error.

  14. G0704 milling pockets out of round? Help please

  15. Re: G0704 milling pockets out of round? Help please

Man, your finish is horrible. What tool are you using and what are your feeds / speeds ? Are you sure that everything (vise, tool, workpiece, quill, ballnuts, thrust bearings, etc) is rock solid and...

  17. Re: G0704 milling pockets out of round? Help please

In my opinion, that is a red herring. Moving back and forth 50 times causing a 5 thou error won't explain your circle being 20 thou off. I'd bet that your Y axis steps per revolution is different...
  18. Re: G0704 milling pockets out of round? Help please

The problem is bigger than any error in your steps per inch calculation. The difference is 0.2% between X and Y where your error in milled dimension is 6.5%. What do the "corners" of your circles...

Would you be willing to upload the file to grabcad in Pack and Go format? My CAD (Onshape) can only read assembly files from solidworks in pack and go format.

  28. Re: BobCad Cam V27 Anyone know what improvements will be included?

With the whole "ok" thing, it's really just a nit-pick. I still think it's mostly an un-needed step. I think the action you want to do should work on what you've highlighted without having to click...
