I saw a video of a guy running Mach3 and the whole screen was just the running screen. In other words, he somehow made the little screen in the top right corner of the Mach3 program as large as the...
How do you make a Mach3 running job screen, larger?

Is the OneCNC a better software to go with? What's the price range?
Thanks

How is the latest BobCam software protected? Does it use a USB Dongle or Software Key?
If you're just cutting wood and plastic, then Busy Bee Tools in New Westminster is best.
Their bits are $5 to $7.

You might want to checkout KBC Tools in Delta.
http://www.kbctools.com/can/main.cfm
Their prices are better.
Thats right about the end mills.
Buy carbide bits. They're twice the price of high speed steel, but they're worth it.
End Mill and Ball Nose is the right way to go.
I cut all the material you were mentioning.
I live in Surrey, BC.

I have a 2' x 3' CNC router.
Give me a call....
I want to build a 6' x 13' CNC Router Table.
Where is a good place to purchase linear motion products and ball/lead screws?
Hi kolias
The answer is easy. BiPolar
If it's torque you're worried about, then buy a larger stepping motor. eg. 400 oz/in or 750 oz/in
I cut aluminum on mine and I just have 275 oz/in
Speed is...
Most encoder disks are encapsluted in plastic or glass. I guess it's possible that some manufactures cheap out by only printing on one side, but I've never come across it myself. If you hang a scope...

If you think it might be your encoders that are giving you problems then remove the covering caps and check to see if the glass encoder wheel is covered in dust. I've worked with servo...
I mean, how many amps/phase and Oz.inch. is each motor.
Did the controller come with your mill or is it a Xylotex?
Are you using Mach3?
What are the size of your motors and what controller are you using?
I'm located in Surrey, just outside Vancouver, Canada.
My problem was solved as soon as I switched to a 2.2 Ghz tower.
I talked to Art who designed Mach3 and he told me not to use a Notebook under any circumstance.
I have a 2' x 3' Router table. I can...
I was trying to use a Notebook computer with Mach 3 and it just wouldn't run right. The motors were stalling above 36 ipm. Notebook bus systems are to slow. You have to use a tower that is 1 Ghz or...
Hi Jerry
Welcome aboard. I've only been in this CNC thing for about a year. I'm an electronic engineer by trade. I have a manufacturing business called Solar Score. http://www.SolarScore.com

Never unplug the motors while the unit is still on. This will cause a huge back EMF. The spike will damage the drive transistors.
The tuning should remain the same as long as your using the same...
Hi Mike
Send me your Sheet Cam file and I'll try it on my computer.

I'm building a CNC Router table for drilling holes in ABS material. I've found the controller and stepping motors I want (Xylotex.com), but I don't know where to find the ball sliders and lead...
