I have 2 parts that require machining.

Part 1 is 1/16" thick 6061 aluminum. it is a rectangular bezel approximately 3"x2.5" with raduised corners. the inside of the bezel has a rectangular hole...

i doubt it'll get red hot. it may dissipate 1000 watts but the timeframe is pretty short. I suspect it'll get hot but nowhere near the temperature needed to glow.

I tried my hand at carving a knife handle. It is ebony and bloodwood.
