If there a particular enclosure that you have used?
Awesome!!!! Thanks so much! So many people I have talked to have been insistent that the spindle and control board need to be on separate circuits… I didn’t give that a second thought.
I’ll post...
Yes... 240 v (measures at 239ish)
How can I troubleshoot the grounding loop? I can't figure out where it would be creating a loop? Currently, the control board is plugged into a 120v line and...
I would love to find out what is actually going on. I don't know if photos will explain very much, but I will try to explain how it is setup and wired.
Here is what I have:
X-Carve with upgraded...
Ok... I haven't checked this in a while but I had to get it up and running so here is what I did.
In case anyone had similar issues I'll post what I did to fix this.
My machine is not really...
No error, no syntax. The spindle stays on but the cnc stops in its tracks. The indicator in my program (Easel) that shows connection, shows as not connected.
Thank you. Forgive me for asking, and please understand that this is a real question, but how could it be the USB cable? It stays connected as long as the steppers and wire grounds are disconnected...
Thanks for the reply. I did test the spindle before installing it and it tested normally. Also, it is my understanding that all motors produce a certain amount of EMI, but these spindles in...
I am at a loss and don't know enough about EMI and/or grounding loops to troubleshoot my issue properly, and I am hoping someone has something I haven't tried.
I have a X-Carve (kind of), I am...
Well my replacement motor came today, and after seeing how this one was packed, I am thinking that the kit I got before had been opened and damaged.
So, I tested the new motor and all the ohm...
Ok... so it looks like a winding is bad.
P1 - P2 = 1.2 ohm
P2 - P3 = .5 om
P1 - P3 = 1.1 ohm
No continuity with P4
I did check the wiring in the plug and there didn't seem to be an issue,...
Mactec54 thanks for the input.
My motor is water cooled, with 4 pins.
I have another motor on order, the one I have clearly is damaged. I'll adjust the PD73 and PD11 to 120.
I appreciate...
Here are my current settings.
Again, it is a 2.2kw, 400Hz, 220v 24,000 rpm spindle.
PD001=0
PD002=0
PD003=400
PD004=400
PD005=400
PD007=20
Hello there,
Like many it seems, I am new to the world of VFD's and finding little support.
I got a 2.2kw 220v spindle from Amazon. I wired it as directed and programmed it according to what...
