I'm bumping this, hoping to find out how this was resolved. I'm seriously considering a DMM upgrade to my Multicam MG.
Yes, actually!
My MG has the same motors. They are 8 pole BLDC and completely unobtanium. I've spent months looking for them. I called Minarik without success.
Mine has Hengstler encoders which are no longer...
I wouldn't think twice about paying that for a new OEM quality overlay for my KDM10. Maybe I'm the only one, but I'll put that out there. For several years now I've been thinking about how I could...
Yes, that's right, I'm looking for a replacement KDM10, that clunky steel box which is velcroed to some older machines. My MG series router came with one of these, rather that the KDM20. It's a small...
I have been unable to find out what the process is for homing the ATC, so I'm considering ways this process could be reverse engineered.
Do these controls create a log file that could be examined...
My next move if I were in your situation would be to try it with windows 98. I just checked my local CL and there are win 98 install disks available for $10.
I tried moving each axis in the minus direction until the hard overtravel alarm was tripped and then backing off about an 1/8", then checking the ZRN box in parameter 1815 and restarted.
It was...
Thanks! I've also discovered that if I uncheck ZRN in parameter 1815 and restart that the machine reverts to hard limits. I'm able to jog anywhere then and reset ZRN.
greenb_60097, what I was referring to by "both ports" is the host PC. Mine is an ancient Dell which has 2 ports, one of which works perfectly, and the other other one just slightly. It sees the...
Okay, I took my best guess on where zero points of the axes should be and the X and Y look okay so far, but I think I got the Z wrong. I'm trying to jog it to another place to try again, but I'm...
Yeah, I was just jogging it around playing with that. The first few times I tripped the overtravel, I tried using the overtravel bypass button and it didn't seem to work, but I just discovered it...
Resetting the position of the absolute encoders after the backup battery runs down is a pretty simple and straightforward process which is well documented. It's parameter 1815. I've found it and...
He used to run a Morbidelli, I think, which is a good, solid medium weight machine.
No dice. I still have the ZRN alarms active. It seemed logical that you would run the homing routine to have it find the prox sensors, then set the zero point from there, but maybe I have to clear...
Those sound like pretty conservative settings for your equipment. Are you short on vacuum?
Similar screen on the PC, but with way fewer physical buttons.

There's an item in the same list (mode) as MDI, jog, memory, MPG, etc. labeled "home". I can't get it to do anything. Is this what I'm looking for?
Did you try both serial ports?
It turned out all I had to do was uncheck the "auto-rotate" box in the operator panel to make the manual drawbar release and magazine rotate buttons work. Duh!
Next up is figuring out the "home"...
Okay, I found that the coils on the drawbar air solenoid valve connect to pins 10 and 36 on TB127, which is the lower of the two ribbon cables going into the controller. Does this tell me anything...
All of my experience is with an "H-board" machine a little newer than yours. I curse the flaky serial communications with MX32 on a daily basis. On the host PC I got with the machine it only works...
:-)
Every other CNC I've operated has had this. If this Komo does I haven't been able to find it, and I've spent several hours looking through every screen i could find in Fanuc BOP, the PC based...
Thanks, this was very helpful, I found the parameter, although I'm still trying to figure out exactly where "home" should be, so I haven't set it.
The manual drawbar release is not doing...
It's parameter 1815. I just need to figure out where "home" is. The reason the encoders lost their zero reference is because the batteries ran down, so I'm replacing all of them.
Also, as part of...
This machine was well taken care of and looks ready to run. It boots up okay and jogs. I just need to figure out how to properly zero the absolute encoders. I know which parameter it is, I just need...
So, you were in Iran in 2006, but you are in Las Angeles now?
Hi, I recently bought a 1998 vintage Komo Innova CNC router at auction. I didn't get any manuals with it, just a couple of schematics.
The first problem that needs to solved is restoring the...
I'm confused. Are you in Iran or Las Angeles?
I've tried for years to find out what the parameters do. Where did you find that?
