Hey Graham,
I know this is off subject, but I noticed it looks like you ditched the quill on your machine. Check out what this guy did to eliminate high-rpm vibration:...
I guess G59 and I are both looking for conspiracies. I'll take a break when I hear that all the folks that spent their hard-earned money on spindles and such receive their orders too.
Seems Defeng...
How's that gonna happen without one of those noisy ol' air compressors connected to your mill?
It would seem for someone who refuses to add air to the machine for the PDB you should skip the complication of the future-failures-to-come electric version too. I think a well designed and made...
Not trying to offend you too much, but your giving advice on what tools he will need for a CNC and you have yet to make even a single chip, part, etc. on your mill yet. You may have experience on...
Handle, your way over complicating this....
I leave a 1" Jo Block at the machine for touching off the tools Z height at the top of the material, part, etc. Here's how I do it:
1. Jog the Z axis...
Hey Handle, did you get a hand-held Pendant/MPG with your machine?
I would get in the habbit of setting the Z tool height to the top of the actual work surface of each tool.
Your build is looking awesome.
As to the oil to your ball screws / ways, you need a adjustable needle valve to control the flow to each component separately.
Yep, that looks very similar to mine. Noiseless, fanless, heat is almost non existent. Their great for cnc.
Ian, you have you facts mixed up. Mach3 runs fine under Win7 32bit or 64bit. The only issue with 64 bit is the Parallel Port driver, which you don't intend to use anyway.
As for PC size and cost, I...
Ian, I'm curious about that myself. How ya coming along on the software side of things?
Your control box looks good enough to take a framed picture of it and hang it on the wall!
I like your chip pan and stand, but I would have to raise the mill height a bit to not have to be reaching...
Yes, please continue the updates.
Christian, have you contacted Titan Machinery in Australia? They were carrying smallish SYIL mills w/ linears in that price range you mention.
Pat
Henry Ford would not have held up his production line to satisfy the individual needs of a single customer.
Well, you will be waiting a long time for a video from handlewanker. He's spending all of his time redesigning the draw bar, when he should have been putting his time to better use getting acquainted...
Defeng,it's very good to see you back in your thread. The clock hands are now moving again.
LOL, I was lovin' the leather jacket too. 275236
Here's a shot of Defeng when he finishes a part.
Yep, and those were my exact words to them!
I was in touch with Syil America several months ago. The price quoted to me for an X6 w/ linears on all 3 axis, and BT30 6000rpm spindle was almost $19,000US delivered.
Post some pics. Show your progress. It's always cool to see a machine coming together.

Heap of trash? Ouch. At least you could actually pay money for this machine, shake the man's hand, and then have a machine that you payed for.
Ray,
Your PM box is full.
Thanks,
Pat
I was just browsing the Chinese Central Authorities site.It seems the staff there speaks english as well as chinese, and they have phone numbers & email address.
For those that have money tied up in...
