Maybe check your parameters? I don't remember is there is a setting that enables the 4th axis. I know there is homing stuff for the other 3 axis.

Good to hear... My TC22 has been down over a year at this point. Every other tool change or so it errors on the position of the toolchanger. I have replaced and adjusted the sensors a few times and...
Just an update. the way covers finally arrived. hopefully in the next few weeks I get a chance to try them on.
Richard
hey... what do you know. they are the same part number... I should have ordered 2. I guess I snaked the last one though... sorry. I will be talking to them on Monday to see if they have extras for...
Sorry... the quote I got back from Hardinge for the Z cover was nuts. $466. It can be ordered custom elsewhere for less than half. I really need to order the Y cover before thy run out.
Richard
Just fyi, I am still waiting to hear back from hardinge. I talked to them Thursday and they are checking. the first guy I spoke to apparently forgot.

Anyone have the specs handy for the TC22 servos? Looking for max/running voltage, rpm, and amps. I think there is the Paravex servo on the z and SEM servos on the X/Y.
Richard
hey, what do ya know.... they have the Y cover but the Z cover (bigger) is out of stock.I will have to call them monday.
Richard
I think that is the high torque spindle. You could likely rigid tap that, no compression holder needed just get the code right. I would still use a thread mill if you are making several parts. ...
At that size I would also threadmill them. I do a lot of rigid tapping in collet and drill chucks for 10-32. I have found roll/form taps work well. It also depends on if you have a gear box or not....
New replacement. I assume I will have to drill the 2 mounting holes in the angle bracket but other than that it should be good to go.
Richard
I got the quote back from dynatect... ~$150 plus shipping each. I imagine the Z cover is a bit more but I don't have the measurements for the z cover.
Lead time is stated as 30 days.
Let me...
BTW, the quote I got was nutz. did you get the name off the magnet?
Richard
You should be able to pull the knob up and it should clear the round coller with the oval hole in it. that way you can rotate the knob to increase or decrease the shot size.
...
I am getting a quote. I imagine it will be cheaper per unit to get multiples if you (or anyone else for that matter) are interested.
Do you have the dimensions for the Z apron? the PO of my mill...
anyone have the measurements of the front Y axis way cover apron? Mine has been missing since I got the machine. I have been able to a get around this by using a small amount of Y travel so the...
on mine the adjustable plunger is on the right side of the oiler. I assumed all had this for adjusting the shot size. I also have a pressure gauge mounted to the column just above it.

Ok... this will likely be something stupid but I spent the morning over at the shop trying to do one simple thing and couldn't figure it out...
Simple setup. a 7+ inch 1/2 by 1/2 ground piece of...
I don't own SC. I have a friend that lets me use it at his shop every so often when he is not busy. I think he mentioned that his support expired recently though and he was not planning on renewing...
Well... I ran into an interesting issue this weekend.
I was do a bunch of peck drill holes in a fixture plate and rather then link through the clearance level I opted to use the option "safety...

Good company. this one was defective and...
All working now :)
Ok I think I got this licked....
Replaced the triac/ss relay and it appears to function correctly. Now I have to put it all back together.
This would have been a lot easier if I caught it the...
And what do you know.... gotta replace a relay/triac.
My last spare. I will have to order a few extra from allied.
I will let you know if it works.
On a side note... this one appears to...
Ok... so I just ran a test. I pulled the motor and set it on top of the machine. when the drives are enabled the motor is spinning. when the tool changer is commanded to move out I hear a click...
Resetting procedure? Not sure what that procedure is.
Richard
Ok... So I have just run into a problem and I have tried a few different things....
The issue is that the tool changer will not extend.
With the drives off I can use a screwdriver to push on...
As some may know I have my Torq-Cut 22 in my garage that is not climate controlled. During the summer (like now) it gets 100 degrees before noon.
This has caused issues as when the garage starts...
Just as an update... I am highly considering pulling my z axis and doing a refresh. I had a bit of an accident (tossed a part via a facemill) and I now have a bit of a tick in my spindle at higher...
