It's just Watts law, Power = Volts x Current. Higher voltage needs less current for the same power - North America is 120v normally - you can get 230V but it's not the baseline there. Take a random...

Luke - in South Africa your mains voltage is 230V like here in the UK - Mac's mains voltage in America is normally going to be 120V which is presumably how he's getting his 25A requirement.
Currently I have a 1.5kw Huanyang VFD and its been ok - but I wonder if it's underpowered, or it's started overheating, or something is wrong. It's cut out twice on me during jobs in maybe the last...
See my other thread about the Google warnings when trying to access XHC plugin downloads page - https://www.cnczone.com/forums/diy-cnc-router-table-machines/426702-cnc-software.html

Already done that - not holding my breath. Hoping someone here might have an insight ...
not helpful - for starters it's perfectly obvious what Chrome is warning about, no need to "google it" (also your link is broken). The question actually is - why? has Google has made a mistake? or...
Thanks for response Citizen - weird our Chrome browsers behaving differently - below is what I get in Chrome - and I get something that looks almost identical in Firefox...

Hi All,
Please - no comments about avoiding "cheap" Chinese motion controllers! I was using a European AXBB-E controller until I fried it, now I have to use my old backup card, and I can't afford...
thanks @fantm666 - one of the moderators here explained the 24V on the VFD inputs so I'm all good now.
Awesome setup by the way.
One more question - your "finally got it working" post says...
@Al_The_Man, thanks - that's very helpful. I'm getting closer to understanding now - so the controller output that's hooked up to FOR is supposed to pull to ground when active - and float when off? ...
Hi @fandtm666 - I'm also trying to get my Huanyang inverter working with an AXBB-E - Previously it was working with a chinese controller, but I need to run probe g-codes that it doesn't support, so...
@Matec54 But the forward pin is an input - so to my mind it should not have 24v on it with nothing plugged in -
Pretty sure the VFD parameters are correct. As I mentioned - it was already working...
Hi All,
I'm having major problems trying to get my new AXBB-E controller to run the spindle. My router was working fine with a chinese controller (the MK4-V from cdxhctech) but I need to use...
Thanks Eric, yes - I did see the warning on your site about Chinese controllers - but China is a big place! although when I bent the probe tip I realized your rule of thumb definitely applied to my...
Hi,
Can folks confirm the controllers they are using with this? (or if they're just using direct drive parallel port) - I'm using the CDXHXTech mach 3 MK4-V card (this one CNC Mach3 motion control...
thanks to LeeWay for suggesting SheetCam - I followed that link and found mynesting.com - who have a kind of subscription type business model. You pay for each nested DXF that you need to generate,...
I experienced the same problem again intermittently after Richard's adjustment, and finally disassembled the front panel myself.
What I found was that the digital height gauge bar (see arrowed...
Does your front control panel respond the way you expect?
My spindle would not start either - switching on the machine would illuminate the front panel display - but the start button on the front...
