I do have two drives on X.

And remember that it is a rolling load. My gantry weighs close to 100lbs but might only take a few pound to move it.

What version of mach3 are you running? I had problem with missed steps and backlash comp on a older version.

I completly agree on the keling and gecko parts.

I asked the guy at work i got it from and found out he bootleg copyed it. The about mach screen says version 1.8 something and licensed to a Mr fabio.

So ive got 50vdc and Ground from my main psu to the gecko on pins 11-12 i think it is.

I am a bit lost here.

I am trying to use my g540 to turn on and off my spindle (bosch router) through mach3.

I have a 50v psu and a 115v relay with a 12vdc trigger.

How do i hook it up...

I used LoveJoy brand "spider type" on mine. when i asked i got a couple different options.

I didnt use soild ones due to not allowing much if any misalignment. Just my preferance though.

If you feel that the drives are working ok and the ports and pins/motor tunning is right, double check all your connections is all i can think of.

Have you went through the motor tunning in mach3 yet?
Did you set the step and direction pins and ports as well?

You running a parallel cable from the pc to the bob? Check that.

My slaved axis prob done close to the same thing. One was slower to take off than the other. Ended up being a bad soilder joint in the motor plug and not anything with the software.
