Anyone still around in here?
Got a question. Can I safely chuck up 2.00 x 10" .120 wall steel tube without a steady?
I'm only taking light cuts to clean it and install some bearings in each end.
So I have a new 10x22 King. Can I turn 2.00 x 10" .120 steel tube
without a steady? It has a 5" and 6.5" chuck.
Where would I buy 5 degree or 6 degree carbide burs? I need to undercut the dogs on a motorcycle transmission.
Before I bugger up a new end mill on my G0704 machine. Could I get some advice on what type to use cutting hardened motorcycle transmission gears. 7/16" size.
Carbide, cobalt, TiN coated, HSS ?
Thanks I found the rest too. Is there a video or drawing for the tramming aids?
Where were those tramming videos located?
That is exactly what I was refering too. I suppose it's the same for all.
I almost bought the 602 mill, table wasn't big enough for what I do. A bigger lathe is in my future too.
I got this lathe and it's been awesome. Bigger bed and takes up little room.

Looking at the parts PDF (#246-2 retainer cup) has a nasty wobble. I'm thinking this is not a good thing as it sits on the top of the drawbar. I've not even cut anything yet.
I'm new here so I don't much know anything of these forums, but I shall. I've only used a small manual mill and know just enough to be dangerous. I bought this after reading how successful the mill...
Would someone be kind to list all the pieces and kits I need to convert the G0704 to CNC? I have a good computer.
Seen these so far, anything else?

I used a $50 off coupon today on my G0704 purchase. It's a google maps search coupon good until Nov 30.
I bought one today from Grizzly in Bellingham, they had several in stock. I'm hoping it is a solid small mill. It was not easy to decide what to buy, the large table sold me.
Howdy, I'm a newby on here. Just picked up the G0704 from Grizzly in Bellingham, it had a sight glass too.(9/2011 build date) They had several in stock. Are these mills OK and acurate? I've read as...
