    Slow feed

    I mostly cut P20 toolsteel on my Fanuc EDM. The problem I am having is that whilst trying to cut a piece 60mm thick the feed rate is painfully slow. What can I do to make it go faster?

    How about leaving a jaw slightly loose so it can move to suit your uneven blocks. If you judge it just so it should move to accommodate and tighten with the vice.

    It could be something to do with the cutting tolerance setting in your cam. The tolerance needs to be set smaller so that the cutter tip stays closer to the surface of the model.
