    Re: Emco vmc100 + ATC + mach

I retrofitted a VMC100 to use Automation Direct servos for all the Axis's including the Spindle. Currently I am in process of tuning the servos. Not so easy compared to Sanyo Denki motors.
    I have a...

Sorry I missed your question. I was lucky and the machine came with a stitch regulator so that made it easy to solve your issue. The device basically controls the speed of the sewing machine motor...

  4. Re: Robodrill 7.5hp spindle. Single Phase Power input No Rotary Phase convetor doable

I went with a 10hp Phase Perfect. Costly $3500. But worth it. Only draws 4 amps at machine idle. Hangs on the wall. Quite. Love it. Wife is happy. Robodrill is happy.

    Re: Terrible news... I think

Sounds like the CRT is failing. I would suggest ordering in a PCMCIA card. Well worth the money.
You top status lights say that the CPU is not running yet. You could have a bad memory card. You...

    Re: Terrible news... I think

Did you replace the battery with the machine on? You have to do that. Did you try and go back to the old battery? Maybe wrong voltage causing issue.
Did you back up all your settings with a PCMCIA...

If you hold P and Cancel on power up you should be able to jog with the hand wheel.
Do you have absolute encoders. (red cap motors) If so make sure you have good batteries for them. Only change...

Not sure if this wil help but you can try:

Move the axis to where you think zero return should be. If you can't...

Re: Emco VMC 100 Mach 3 Retrofit started

That's kinda what I thought. Since it say moves 1/4" every rev it would never know where exactly it is. It could take 20 revs to get to home or take 1. I'll just put new switches on there or relocate...
