From Mori's procedure step # 13
"PMM parameter #43 (upper limit of commanded speed). The standard setting is “3600” (10 rotation/minute ). Reduce it to “50”
I used a value of around 200 or so...
What is the alarm number on the Beta servo amp.? This may help us determine the issue.

It may sound stupid to you, but did you check make sure that your machine is phased correctly? The spindle and axis drive don't care but all of your 3 phase motors such as coolant pumps, ATC and Tool...
The S1 LED is just an indication the the unit is in an alarm state.
You will need to connect an MDI/DPL unit to the PowerMate to see what the actual alarm is.

Give this company a try, I personally went there and they have quite the inventory.
This is from thier web site:
www.cybercnc.com
"CyberCNC purchased the inventory of Hitachi Seiki USA,...
Then you will need to contact your local Mori Seiki office for this information.
In addition you will also need the data values.

Sounds like you did not put the timer values in.

Around the keypad/membrane is a frame. Remove the screws and gently "pop" the frame off. If i remember correctly the part number in the lower right corner.
FYI,The membrane has an adhesive back....
Others have had similar situations, and it was due to a low lube level. Some OEMs do not give an alarm on the screen.

Have you checked the knock dimension? I had this type of problem a few years ago and increased the knock to .030".

Does it have the alarm 12 at power up?
If so remove the output wires to the motor and power up again and see if the alarm is still there.
Another quick test would be to run the spindle as slow...

I am trying to help a company that has an SMG MV-40 with a Fanuc 0MC control, and a serial number of W341166. The operator inadvertently cleared them. The hard copy is incomplete and no usable back...
I agree that listing the OEM would help evaluate this problem better. You stated that you get an alarm #2099(most likely an OEM alarm number). It would have been nice to give the description of the...
It sounds like you are looking for the O.E.M. operation manual. You did not state the make and model of the machine.
If you do maybe someone might be able to help.
Best bet is to contact the...

I agree with dcouper. as far as the "hunt", the cylinder cushions should be on the end caps of the cylinder. Usually a set screw with a jam nut. Its does not take much adjustment on these so make...
1.0000" is a lot! Mechanically you probably will not be able to do it without hitting something, such as a "bumper stop" on the ball screw, or something else. You need to look around the headstock...
If this is a "TT" you will need to do both sides Right and Left.

On the Fanuc 0 the parameter # is 389 bit 0. Change it from 1 to 0 (need to have PWE on). I don't remember if you need to power down and back up again though.
Once you have this enabled BE...
It is most likely related to the ATC itself. A lot of machines have a switch for the ATC arm at a "home position". If this switch is not made it will not allow Z axis movement. Check the electrical...
Don't assume that everything is OK if there are no alarms. I had a machine once that drove me crazy with the same situation and it was due to a low lube level and NO ALARM was flagged!

It's an O.E.M. thing. The turret drive is most likely a Fanuc beta drive (very small and less expensive).

I found a copy of an SL-400 Ladder manual for an MSC-501 control. I scanned the M Code list and attached it for your viewing pleasure.
It should be relatively close to the SL-403.
You will...
In that case you could check out www.precisionzone.com .

I agree with dbstream, or quite possibly you will need to format the card once you installed it into the NC slot.
