Nope it's probably from you vfd & spindle causing interference!

You'd be surprised what will react though when you get to flame polishing, even acrylic polishes respond bad to it.

Imo I would not put any detergent near acrylic, if he was to put detergent then cut then flame he would get crazing.

I use onsrud 2 flute downcut, great bits give a great finish 18,000rpm 160ipm 0.165doc.

But i do get some chatter on the edges, if an optical finish is needed you have to sand.

Just doing some homework it seems on deskcnc that your limits/estop and probe can be no or nc type. But what about homing? all my switches are no. is there a way to still use them as home switches?

Actually, the biggest issue is limit/home switches. one guy says raise decel the other says lower it, both say it's impossible for the controller to stop on a limit switch.

Man, that would be alot of work..... basically i hear a rumble on long fast travels.... I got a squeak to get rid of too :) i lost some block balls on an over travel once....

Can emc2 handle dual home switches on a gantry for homing?

There are allot of differences between a spindle and router. I believe it costed just under or over 2k.

I used to run routers but the bearings died too often....

Also the spindle creates 1/2...

I have zipped up the mach plugin source and ccs c source for the pic. I'm running it on a 18f4455 using usb transfer.

As for a schematic it was done on the fly.

The sdk is really easy and you could make a user config screen to set the ins and outs. I got a graphic lcd but it's reserved for another project :)

For mpg's the sdk is much better...

I just bult myself a pendant using a pic and usb, i opted for bulk transfer and using the mach sdk directly much faster.

Well first off I would of gotten the steel ground for the rails to be mounted on.

I would also increase the gearing to up the resolutions.

Aside from that not too much runs like a charm. nice...
