    I too had 1 go there, on a Vf3 where the hose is clamped on the head, there seams to be a pinch point there. Also went on 2 lathes at a clamping point,all 3 went in 3 months.

    using bar feeder

    Is it aceptable or safe to turn 1 5/8 alu bar using a 1 3/4 liner on a Haas ST20 with a servo 300 bar feed my boss says yes, i'm not sure, and Haas don't supply a liner at that size.

    I guess it is that, I now found out that if you use partline programming you can't use the multi finish option, where centreline cutting you can.
    I still prefer partline cutting though.
