  1. Re: Catahoula's router/mill build - welded steel with EG

I know in a another post to this thread you said you glued and screwed the back plate to the structural steel tube, but from the photo it looks like it is part of the tube so I am curious how you...

    Re: My New Controller

I bought my NUC from https://www.icubes.co.uk/intel-nuc-10th-gen-i3-10110u-4-10-ghz-slim-mini-pc-nuc10i3fnk.html

I went with them because they were prepared to try and get the AWOW system working...

    My New Controller

A few threads are around detailing how people replaced their controller with new one, usually ditching the parallel port for ethernet and a mesa 7i92 interface card, however the mini PC they used...
  4. Re: Tormach controller - which Gigabyte Brix

The ethernet connection is direct with no router/switch. The cable and mesa card work fine as a Baytrail based mini PC controls the mill successfully, but the PC freezes at random intervals - a...
  5. Re: Tormach controller - which Gigabyte Brix

I would beg to differ. I have bought two different mini PCs - one from AWOW and an Intel NUC 10th Gen i3 and neither work with PathPilot 2.

PP appears to install on AWOW but will not leave the...

    New controller woes

I have been running my PCNC1100 series 1 with Pathpilot 2 on a Dell computer without any problems until recently when the computer broke.

Rather than getting the Dell fixed I wanted to move to a...

    Hi Peteeng,

I am curious about your above statements. I am planning an epoxy machine build and no doubt using a single diameter grit will make things much easier. However, commercial machine...

Very interesting, what are the Tecnik part numbers for the motors?

    Thanks,

    Re: Rigid Tapping #8-32

Fairly new to tapping with the T&C head - 500 RPM, 0.5s dwell with m5 spiral point tap and 4.2mm drill. It works well except I get a build up of birds nest on the tap that I have to try and clear...

    Re: UK PCNC Owners

    Hi Grant,

The PCNC1100 needs 220V so just plugs into a standard wall socket. The only issue was (later) when I moved it onto a circuit with an RCD breaker the VFD (upgraded) would trip it, but...

  19. Re: Spindle ON trips GFCI/RCD/RCCB immediately.

I doubt very much if you will damage any equipment. The worst I would expect is to hear/see noise on radios/TV/audio equipment but I think you will be unlucky if this happens.

  22. Re: Spindle ON trips GFCI/RCD/RCCB immediately.

If you have the Emmerson VFD controller then there is a jumper you can remove that will stop it from tripping the RCD. The manual for the controller is online and it tells you about this. It worked...
