I have not use wintopo much, but I do know that with a solid picture, you need to use edge detection, before you can vectorize it.

Nice cuts Gravy. I used AlphaCam to change the text, one letter at a time. The width of the font was about .040, so I would pick one side of a letter & then offset it .020 to get a line in the center.

The trick to the cube is using a key seat, or dovetail cutter to undercut each cube. You need to make plugs, so when you cut the last 2 sides, they don't move.
