Try to run the same program without a sheet, your punch may be blunt or the die worn
Hi all,
I have a customer that has WinCNC on his Hidef Plasma cutter, It works very well but has one small problem....
If they lose the arc and have to restart, the torch first goes up to the...
I should be pretty easy to do, theoretically you should be able to use the servo drive in torque and position mode.
You set the position as the centre of the steering wheel ( you can use the...
Thanks a lot for your replies, I think a starting point will be to use touchy with GTK themes, and then tweak them to get a feel for Linux, is there any documentation on creating or tweaking themes -...
Hi, I have used Mach3 quite a bit in the past, but now would like to try out EMC and Linux.
I usually like to create custom screens for our machines.
My question is - how do I get started with...
Is the actual reading on the screen 1" - if so check for backlash on the belts and ball screw and check the encoder coupling.
If not check the x-axis parameters and motor brushes.
Set the VFD output voltage the same as the servo. If your drive has vector control turn it on and do a no load auto tune. Also remember that servos are multi pole motors, so you will have to use a...
If you can get the drawings for the machine, maybe you can still use the drive.
It probably has a different firmware version.
Otherwise, the motor can still be used with a VFD for another...

Try 7 & 8 for pulse and 11 & 12 for direction.
To find the input for "servo on"...
Yes, it will make a difference, it must be off.
Sync. must be start/stop as well.
Is the protocol: 9600,1,7,1,1(even)
The PC software will see the drive, but if the protocol is incorrect it will not communicate.
If you unplug the comms cable and try to connect, do you get the same error message?
What seems to be the problem?
Yaskawa use the modbus protocol - you will need the manual to set up the correct comm parameters eg: baud rate, parity, station number, data length and stop bits. The yaskawa drives are the same as...
The screen resolution is incorrect.
Either edit it in screen4 or go to view-load screens and load plasma.set

Are you using Lazy Cam? If so, set the feedrate in the layers tab (you usually have to resize the tab to see all the options.

Edit: Jason is a genius, but I'm sure you're pretty smart too Benny.
