Where is your model in relation to xyz zero?

In Rhino you will move the model. If you are nervous about screwing something up then do this. Copy your model and paste the copy in the same...

What is a good way to toolpath a cleanup pass when profiling?
For example imagine circle cut out of 0.75 inch thick MDF or plywood. I would normally select profiling and set the cutter to climb cut...

    Tool lines are off surface

    Rhino 5. Madcam

Do the madcam lines represent the tip of the cutter when surfacing?

    267934

These planer lines are not on the surface at least as they are represented here graphically....

    Plow through wall

Pretty good outcome. Some weirdness when the bit first enters the cut at the start of the M. I think this can be fixed by setting ramp to zero. It will get sanded away.

And so now the cutter stays inside the the lines. There are no region curves set.

Cut link distance should be set lower than the cutter.

Joakim responded to me with an email.
His answer was as i suspected. I had a setting that was causing the cutter to plow through.

What format for the file is best for this forum. I can email a rhino file if you can receive.

    Re: Plow through wall

Why do I even need a region curve? Why can't the cutter stay inside the curve to rout the pocket. A pocket is never two things, just one pocket.

    On a related note.

When I try to pocket these closed curves within the model if I choose them all routes through the walls.

But if I select them individually the toolpath is okay
