Thanks for the awesome documentation!
Is the retention knob for ISO 20 tool holder a standard part ? I CANT FIND ONE with dimensions.
I see, i didnt know that NMTB, going to read right now. Thanks ger21.
The pullstud for those models are standard too ?
Right, any standard or documentation supporting this, please ?
Which one of these is ISO 20 ?
Isn't there a book or some standard that states this ? So i can use as reference ?
Hi, the title pretty much says it all. I didn't had any sucess searching the web for this information, i designed my ATC using a CAD from a friend of mine that he said it had the dimensions correct....
You mean MACH3 cuts power from the drives? He can't do that i think. It just cuts the STEP signals sent right ? The drives don't know they're in a ESTOP mode, they're just waiting i think.
Hi, i'm having some problems with my custom made machining center. It's has a nice precision of 0.008mm, built on grounded ballscrews and some other stuff.
But there is something that upset me,...
Mine are also not being ignored. Have you solved your problem?
I configured my home switch to be a limit, my only limit.
When i press Ref All Home, my Z goes up, hit the switch, it homes, but...
I went for some ISCAR polished three flute Ø6 endmill, and is doing really great.
At 24000 RPM it's really hard to have any trouble, also low AP's help reduce the chance of breaking the endmill.
This isn't the case, i really believe that my problem is that i am running a demo, it only works until line 500 so when it hits line 500,
it repeats the 500 line.

Hello, i think the mach 3 users can help me here. I was testing for the first time my DIY alum machining center and got this weird G-CODE toolpath at MACH....
Yes i took a look at those charts some time ago.. but it wasn't real, at 4k RPM a friend of mine said he could easily stop with his hand.
I see, thanks for the replies. I'll indeed try to arrange a compressor to use the air and run some tests with polished 3 flute endmills.
I see, that's why most manufactures sell polished as the best option to mill aluminum. And compressed air as coolant ? This is something i can arrange!
Aluminum 6351 or 6061. Why stay away from coated ones ?
Hello guys, i have a diy cnc router that is machining aluminum and i am having some troubles with chip welding at pockets and other operations. I am using a 45° helix mill, 3 flute, polished from...
As i expected, the drivers rate the total peak current, so the stepper is rated on amps/phase, actually amps rms/phase. So my motor, that is rated 4.3A/Phase, should be run at a driver that is...
Hi again, long time no posts, i was testing some stuff with my steppers. Anyway i didn't had the time to make the calculations because my team is all over me, okay, i have some questions regarding...
The thing is, i need to buy here.
The only problem is that i was unable to find them in my country.
But a digital servo drive could be used on a stepper ?
Guys, is there in the market drives that control Digital Servos and Stepper motors? I saw somewhere, but i lost the link i think!
Also what's the difference between these Digital Servos and...
Have anyone ever look at the TBI MOTION ballscrew designing PDF ?
TBI MOTION Ballscrew
I used this design guide to know the Torque i would need to drive my gantry. If anyone could take a look...
I see. I think my doubt has been solved. I'll be looking more in those two drives and see the difference between both. Thanks man, again!
That's a really nice article, thanks a lot for it. I knew that increasing voltage would make the motor run faster, but it's good to see graphics and stuff.
Yes i was calculating the momentum...
The CG is not in the equation, you relate the average force with the change of momentum that the machine is suffering when deaccelerating to the arm of the force on the CG of the gantry. I THINK this...
