So what is your problem with it? Why does it need a controller upgrade, in your opinion? Is it faulty?

Are you sure of the model number? That doesn't return any results.
Does it have a Prototrak MX2 2-channel controller?
That's not enough power supply - look for 480-600W.

You can't beat 3-phase closed-loop steppers and drivers from Leadshine. Hardly much different in price from the no-name Chinese ones. Lots of choice in spec.
Most Hiwin rails are lubed with white lithium grease, initially - but I don't know what they use inside the bearing itself.

Despite your attempts to belittle with the use of 'screed' and other diminishing words, you're still as wrong as you were with your first post.

epilog, as other manufacturers, specifically list polyurethane as laser safe.

'Andrew' was an obvious shill for the company - one post only.
If you want a decent machine at a good price, drop me a message - I'm in NZ.
Send me a PM and I’ll put you in touch
If you need any of that, I’m sure it’s a plus.
if you don’t, it’s a LOT more money than you need to spend.

Not in the UK, no.
Hi Peter,
Thats fantastic - just what I wanted. I can build one of those pretty easily. I have a bunch (20?) of those polypropylene wheels that fit a drill that I use for cleaning up 3D relief...
I am slowly succumbing to pressure and considering buying a fibre laser. I wanted to make my own CNC plasma cutter, and still may do, but time constraints mean I am more likely to buy off-the-shelf....
How long have you worked for Bodor, Celia?
If you'd bought with escrow, the seller would have eaten the loss.
Except, there’s no such thing as an el-cheapo fibre laser module - even a low-powered one (30W) is US$3K. But what do you want to cut with it? It only has a very limited application outside metal...
If you’re not looking at tight tolerances, have you thought about CNC plasma?
For ‘art’ pieces and architectural it is probably much better value for money - plus you can attach it to that cheap...
Not you. I was replying to you. The one-post OP that wants to buy a machine that’s almost unknown, with no reviews or recommendations, but he wants to buy one.
You set the controller to its defaults without saving the settings. The controller defaults are not the machine defaults.
ShenHui support should be able to send you the base settings
I suspect he’s trolling for robotecnc...

What makes you want to buy from them?
No info, no reviews, no users - why not buy from an established and popular supplier?
Go have a look at bell laser - they have good-as-new refilled/refurbished Synrad and can give you all the advice and parts you’ll need.
Measure the output from your psu with a digital multimeter. Measure the output from your tube with a laser power probe - they’re only about $100 from Bell Laser.
There are many things that can...
Or not ‘fumble through’, or get ‘a free education’, but be professional and studious about what you do. I can see why you’re a salesman and why I’m an engineer.
Your analogy doesn’t hold water.

Is it worth the $12,000 difference you charge over my ShenHui?

When you say ‘adjusted as high as possible’, how high is that?
My Reci W4 is tested/calibrated at 30mA and should be run at 26mA for 8000 hour tube life.
A 130W tube drawing 22mA is only going...
