I'm sure the 0722 ships in one crate since the stand is not included.
I would say that the Grizzly is a far more versatile machine right out of the box. It is a variable speed from 100-1600 with a digital readout while the RongFu is only capable of predetermined rpms...
Will you be using the stock drawbar or one made of a higher strength material?
Yeah, I didn't even waste my time with lapping. I went straight for the mill tooth file. Running it the length of the carriage focusing on the high spots. Then I finished it off with some 1000 grit...
Is it just me or does something not look right in this pic?

Yeah, I would rather it only get 1935 than to be changing out motors and controllers. I'm glad I tore it down. There was gritty grease on ever part that was not accessible on the initial clean up....
Inspection report? I didn't get one with my G0704.
Thanks for the reply Hoss. That's kind of what I was thinking. I guess those rpms will suit me fine for now. Now to completely strip it down, clean, inspect, reassemble, oil and dial it in.
I conducted the break in sequence on my new mill the other day and I have a question or two for other owners. First off, the mill now has over 1 hour run time. During break in the bearings sounded...
Your welcome Fuelrush.
BDTools recently had an auction end on Ebay for the motor mounts and ballnut mounts and ballscrew end support bearings. I honestly couldn't see giving that kind of money for the kit but I guess I...
No problem kregan. I felt sort of obligated whether the results would have been good or bad since I was originally trying to determine the difference between this vise and the higher priced brand. By...
Well, the Shars 4" 440V arrived a couple of days ago. I must say, I am happy with my decision.
Upon opening the box the first thing I liked was all of the heavily packed packing paper.

What is your range of "perfect"?
Fuelrush, I finally got around to ordering the G0704 and was also looking for a nice accurate vise at a reasonable price. After many hours of searching, reading and comparing I am 99% sure that the...
Thanks for the link Hoss. I especially like the last post where Wmacky1 stated that at least he got a Glacern sticker. I went ahead and ordered this one....
Kregan, thanks for the clarification. The links I posted in my original post were for two specific models for comparison purposes.
OK, let's look at "Precision" models for comparison purposes.
The...
Thanks for the reply skinner but I didn't mention Enco. As far as fit, finish, accuracy, squareness, height and so on, the Glacern 4, 5, and 6" share the same specs as the lower priced Shars. So as...
I have finally decided to break down and buy a G0704 and have been looking for a suitable vise. In my ventures I have come to the conclusion that a decent 4" will suit my needs rather well. That...
I have been using the 18lb from HF for a couple of years now with great results. It used to run for 3 and 4 days at a time when I was converting weedeater engines over to rc use. I would drop 2...
Has anyone ever checked the voltage being feed to the motor after turning the pots up? You could be over volting the motor causing it to overheat which could and would lead to premature failure.
It is showing in stock on my computer when I type in my zip code. I cancelled my order a couple of weeks ago but might go ahead and buy one.
Needle nose pliers are life savers.
I have been in the same boat before. I used a set of needle nose pliers stuck in between the flutes and worked it back and forth until it finally came out. I am not sure how you were using it but...
The only difference I noticed between the older G0720 and the newer G0720R is that the older model was listed as 110v and the newer is listed as 230v. Of course that could be a misprint like the...
It is possible that the Jet 9x20 shares the same cross slide, tail stock and most other major parts as other 9x20 lathes. Such as HF (Central Machinery) 9x20, Grizzly 9x19 and a few other popular...
Just spend a little more and get the PCNC1100.
I've been flying rc planes since I was 13 and I am now 38. I've had lots of nitro and electric monster trucks and have even built a few all aluminum T-Maxx trucks. I tried the helicopters but after a...
Are these the motor mounts you bought?
Grizzly G0704 Mill BF20 CNC Conversion Kit Mounts | eBay
Looks good. Did you also get the motor mounts off of Ebay? I have seen a few sets on there that look like the ones you have. Does ellik have a link to the parts he sells?
