Re: I bought a Haas Mini Mill basket case

Yes they do but you can't drive a VFD Drive with another VFD Drive if he does not have any VFD Drive then Yes he would have to use a Vector Drive for there stock spindle motor

    Re: Spindle motor questions.

If you can not correct in Vcarve which I'm sure it can be, you will have to edit the code so you don't fry your spindle

You will over heat the spindle unless you get your speed setting corrected...
  3. Re: VFD and Mach 3 Setting Discount Double Check

Yes if your spindle is only rated 300Hz you can't have the VFD Drive set at 400 so where you have 400 that needs to be 300 and where there is 100 to 120 unless you have an electric fan for cooling...

Re: I bought a Haas Mini Mill basket case

No you would not and can not use a VFD Drive to drive anything other than a AC 3 Phase motor

    Re: Spindle motor questions.

So usually on the body of the spindle there will be some spec's

    1.5Kw we know

voltage= 220 this would be normal
    Amps= around 5
    Hz= 400 is normal

So take a good look at your spindle and...

Re: Fuling DZB300 series VFD and Spindle

For the On/Off you will use one of your Relays and is connected to S1and DCM

The analog output 0-10v from your Breakout Board is connected to VI and ACM , see that this is working 5v=12000 MDI M3...

    Re: CNC 'jumps'

That would be 6mm coupler you would want, 6.35 is 1/4" which is to big
  10. Re: Harvey / Helical putting mills down for 8 days and counting

Can you not rough mill and bore it to finish size if it is a round bore
  11. Re: Need some general advice on VFD parameters for a spindle

Yes that is the correct way to get a drive like this going to use the KeyPad first and then go remote, you don't need that type of switch button control you can do it all through your control...
  12. Re: Need some general advice on VFD parameters for a spindle

You can not use a normal meter to measure the output Power of the VFD Drive

You have to use all 4 Pins the spindle must be Grounded this sounds like another problem you have

    The normal...

Re: Yaskawa Varispeed 626VM3 Fault A00

Sounds like you may have a main Capacitor problem, the main Capacitors are not charging up correctly
  16. Re: Need some general advice on VFD parameters for a spindle

It sounds like the VFD Drive is not suited for your spindle, but also may be something simple

After you do a reset just put in all the motor spec's and what the Keypad needs the Minimum and Max...

    Re: Linear Rail Mounting Flatness

Correct in most cases they are in tolerance, if you are looking for perfect then you match grind them
  19. Re: Need some general advice on VFD parameters for a spindle

Yes there can be problems when changing settings as they have to relate to other Parameters that are already set we could change that profile

Don't know what is going on the V/H ratio is .55 so...
  20. Re: Need some general advice on VFD parameters for a spindle

Do you have 00-06=1 set for Pot control
  21. Re: Need some general advice on VFD parameters for a spindle

You got a little messed up with your Parameters

01-04=Default you should not be using this Parameter this is for the use of a second motor
01-05=Default you should not be using this Parameter,...
  22. Re: Need some general advice on VFD parameters for a spindle

You are figuring it out very well, as I said in the post yesterday there where other Parameters to change the 01-00=7 was the one to change
