I believe it is the correct board :)
Where are you located? I have an extra board.
Has anyone tried the cheaper ebay oilers I see? I have been using the regular hand unit because I only do prototype work and no real long runs but have been thinking it would be nice to have then saw...
Bob,
Have you tried to helical or ramp it into the part so that you are not just plunging?
You are correct do not put both in one file or you will forget at some point and we all know what happens then. Top program and a separate bottom program.
Fusion360 is a good second software to have but it is missing a lot in the rotary axis world from what I am finding. Overall it is worth having for most of the work I do.
I understand the nice to have faster speeds but I have not run into step issues at all. I do take care of my machine and I do not push it like a larger machine since it is a smaller machine. If you...
I have learned the wrap feature in fusion360 it is good but still has a ways to go. I have decided to try it out since I have a backup to go to. 800 is pretty cheap for three years
Well I played with Fusion360 4th axis machining and ran into a mess setting it up not very happy with multi axis so far. I can say that Sprutcam is much simpler for multi axis machining. I have...
I just did my second model it was a bit more in detail but still nothing too bad. I can honestly say fusion360 is not like NX or Solidworks but for the cost I am going to try it out. I have not tried...
Well around three hours job is done fusion360 is nothing like solidworks or nx but I created my model, posted a program, and ran it. I have never used the software before and it was a bit frustrating...
Don't get me wrong I enjoy both Solidworks and ug, just bought a new computer and can't afford to install them on it. This is for a small home prototype shop. It turns out I just received a new...
Thank you I will download their trial version and check it out.
I have always used solidworks, NX, mastercam, and sprutcam on my Tormach. I am cleaning out my shop changing out computers and want to just go to one, two at most thinking of keeping the sprutcam...
I have PP+ sprut cam v10 and it all works fine with my 4th axis it works great zero issues.
I have seen a few shops buy their employees a nice cup with lid and company logo on them. great idea for sure solve two issues the crying and if a customer comes in it looks good.
Would like to know anyone using this software? Pros and cons? tricks for printing?
Nice work can you give details like where and what you bought? I would make one myself I just do not have the time to invest in the design.
Are you saying you cannot tap 12L14 1/2-13 tap with your machine? I believe in if it is not broken then don't fix it and you should have zero problems doing those tapping operations just get a really...
What way oil are you using? The ball nut should be able to be adjusted along with gibbs but I have seen way oil create a nasty stick on dovetail machines that may make it jump explaining the .00005...
Well sad to hear you are in the process of getting this coolant when you could have put vasco 7000 the stuff is great no rust no odor and your machine stays clean window stays clear. Not to mention...
Those are too short and I am not sure they are ceramic post with ruby tip. The best I found is $50.00 that is pretty good.
So far this is the best I can find.
Standard M4 Ceramic and Ruby Styli
Anyone find a cheaper price on probe m4 style?
Another thing I have done is add a travel bar on the celling and bought a simple harbor freight 1300 lb. Electric Hoist with Remote Control and I remove my vise or 4th axis when needed. I use a full...
I simply bought a 8" super indexer for the solid platform and made a adapter for the Tormach stepper motor 4th axis kit and I can say it is the most robust unit with a simple backlash adjustment and...
You have this part done right?
I believe you are looking for this? Go to this page and select, mill machining/Operations for 4th axis and 5 axis milling/Rotary machining. Let me know if it works.
SprutCAM 10 User Guide
Can you show a bit more of the part? It may be possible to use a small ball mill that has a form cut out of it to create that radius. What is the tolerance of the radius?
Consider Sput Cam 10 it works good. PP is working great so possibly you need to reload it or something?
