    Hi,

generally the motor behaves this way if you have fried MOS or gate driver.
Possible too is that you have a bootstrap capacitor too small.

Also I've seen something a bit annoying on one...

    Hi rccrabb,

did you tried swapping the boards?
Are the 5V, -12V, 12V LEDs on and the ERR led off?
if the dsPIC is working properly, at startup (no progKey plugged), the ERR LED blinks briefly...

    Hi,

I don't know the burny 3 at all, can't tell if 10V is what you are seeking for.

depending on the amp, the quadrature (encoder) signals come from the amp itself or from an encoder fitted on...

    Hi there,

It's what I've been doing this pas years.
I made lots of mods to L. Glaister's source code and even created a tuning software to ease setting up the PID parameters.
    the firmware is...

    Thanks for the link iron-man!
I'm designing the PSU myself. I plan on doing 120-200V adjustable PSU with overvoltage, overcurrent and overpower limit. 1KW or more.

    errr

tell me if I'm wrong but seems to me that when turning ON the P mosfets current will flow from +48V (90V?) into D5, R4 and U2 to the ground.
So there will be 48-12 = 36V at the 100Ohms...

    Hi Xcad,

Honestly I don't remember why I put POSCNT+1. I know I had to do so to fix an offset problem but I have not kept a trace of this problem so I won't be able to explain it.

Yes you can. the ProgKey is a USB to RS232 adapter with isolation and TTL levels.
So you will need a MAX232 or similar chip, and additional optocouplers for maximum safety.

    Hi,

didn't tried it but it's quite sure. There is small difference between 33F and 30F. Mainly:
    40MIPS vs 30MIPS
    3.3V vs 5v
    90mA vs 200-300mA (!)
    ~5$ VS 10$
    and much better ADC (200Ksps...
