If you slow down the feed you will probably get more bevel.
I would get the Xylotex 4 axis and slave the x-axis with the a-axis.I have a 36 x 48 that is driven from one side.It does work, but it would be more rigid and faster having two motors on the X-axis.I...
That was the answer I was looking for ,Thanks
Yes that is what I would like to do,but Jeff is slow to respond.
When you say
Does that mean I cannot use the Xylotex single axis board? What board should or could I use. Send me a PM it you don't want to say it here.
I allready have my Xylotex 3-axis system up and running. It works great! Now I would like to put another motor on my X-axis.What I need to do is slave them together, but I will need another drive for...
Ya what he said, go take a nap Rally
RALLY Are you always so negative!
Get a clue and learn how to machine!
Now is that anyway to act!
I think that machine would work for foam or maybe even balsa wood, but I do not think that z-axis is rigid enough to do pine or hardwood of any type.Check out www.k2cnc.com They have a few nice ones...
It looks OK, but for the money you could build one a lot bigger. You could also make it faster and more rigid if you built it yourself. If you don't have any exprience the best way to get it is build...
That would be very in depth procedure.Useing cores and greensand would be your best bet. Lost foam could cause some problems. With greensand you could use the original head as a pattern .Then you...
When you say that full blown Machines are not that expensive anymore(given you have the space if not never mind!)What price range are you talking.
Also I have seen a couple of your posts Rally,...
Thanks!
My THC 300 will not move the torch up or down while it is cutting.I am missing somthing.
I think 1.5mm is about the same as 16 gauge. I cut 16 gauge every day with no problems.I have the Campbell Designs THC, it works great for the cost.I don't see it being any problem to cut that. You...
I have been cutting 3/8 holes with my setup.I just cut them undersize then i ream them out with a 3/8 drill bit.
I have a Pro Tools tube bender.
This may sound stupid but you could make a single axis CNC plasma cutter to do that job.It would be cheap and easy.
What will you be cutting?
I built mine as cheap as possible. It will cut at 200 ipm.I used a Xylotex control board with 3 nema 23 425 oz motors. It has leadscrews with wipers at the nuts. I went with 3/4 inch linear rails and...
! Wtf !
Sony PSP I use here at the mall free internet!
Xylotex is set up in 1/8th step mode by default .If you are useing 16 TPI screw and 200 steps per revolution that is 3200 steps per inch.If it is set to 1/8th step then you will need to multiply that...
I mix it at about an 80 / 20 mix. 80 drywall compound 20 furnace cement. I just let it air dry for a few days.
This may sound stupid, but I use drywall compound mixed with a little furnace cement. I thin it with water till it's like a melting milk shake. You only want to coat the part about 1/16 thick or so. If...
You can use the end mill holders like those.I would suggest collets, check out Ebay. You just need to clean the grease off of everything, maybe lap the gibs(polish the gibs) 800 grit 1000grit 1500grit...
I tried to download Mach3 today with no luck.I did the re-boot,but it kept locking up when I would try to open it afterwards.
I have an X2 Mini Mill from Harbor Freight Tools. It is a good little machine. You will need to take it apart and clean off all of the packing grease.
You did not mention what kind of travel you...
I figured it out, I had to cut and paste this into the macros for the M3:
