    Re: Acrylic machining edge finish…

I'd give going climb mill with those feeds n speeds a try then see where you are at. I got the same marks until I cut as mentioned in my last post.

I have had very similar results running "acrylic" bits in conventional mill. I played around and found if you use a spiral O flute for aluminum and run in climb mill you will get good results. I...

    .014x48 gives me .672 watts?
    I found a 1.5k, 1 watt resistor, so run 2 in parallel?
I think I may be getting now???

    Are resisters needed?

    Hello,

    Re: chinese spindle question(s)

    Mactec,
I have it wired into a plug that runs a 50 amp breaker. I checked the voltage, each leg is 120 to ground, 240 between the two legs using an old analog VOM.
    Parameter time??
    Thanks

This is what I have found. I swapped in your parameters. Now if you hit run without the spindle wired you can watch the vfd build rpm. When you hit stop it spools...

    Re: chinese spindle question(s)

The removable cover says it's a 220V/3.0KW. I looked on ebay and it seems for the 2.2kw the VFDs are rated at 10amp, the 3.0kw at 13 amps.
Can I change a parameter that will allow more than 11 amps?...
