rayzsurfer: I gave up and bought a hypertherm.
However, i had the everlast working good, just wire the arc-ok wires to a switch. This way you can just leave the switch closed and it will run...
Got it working perfect now, a lot faster:
20 ipm Feed
.02 depth per pass
.2 ipm plunge rate
10 deg ramp angle
Would be nice to have the plasma mounted on the gantry so I could use both tools...
Here you go. 1-1/4 6061 Aluminum Cut on my plasma table using a Rigid palm router:

Im using the plasmabot V Rail setup. I have built a custom mount...
Hey guys, im looking to add a laser to myt CNC table, really all i need it to do is to be able to print on metals. I will mount it to the Z axis on my CNC plasma/router table. I want to do stuff...
Oh, it happened and it works great, but looks too shi**y to post a pic, id be embarrassed. Picked up a few air cylinders in Orlando last week, so im going to be doing it properly soon......

A little off topic for most of us....but saw this and had to post:
B30409 WALDRICH SIEGEN PF-H-125 (150) CNC GANTRY MILL | eBay
Now thats a gantry!!! Wonder what kind of steppers they use on...
Thanks Tom! Just did that now.
Still having issues with angled cuts on small circles on thin material, although my other post about auto-disabling thc and slowing down on small holes has helped ...
So, ive learned to make good bolt holes you need to slow the speed way down, and turn THC off. Well, I modified the candcnc POST for sheetcam, and well...it works. I combined code from a few files...
Got it all figured out. I poked around in the sheetcam post files made for plasma w scribes. Having a good knowledge of programming this language was easy to understand.
I simply modified the...
Hey guys. As you may recall I was interested in mounting a center punch on the Z to mark holes. I have to make wheel hub to sprocket adapters offten, and its really a pain to get them right...so...
Xalky: your post is confusing. First you say the time starts after the pierce, then you say it has to be set right to not allow the pierce to affect it. Please clarify.

I'm cutting at .06. Tried at .1, looked the same. How high is still reasonable?
Tom, question. The thc delay you have on your settings screen in Mach, it's the number of seconds from what? ...
One issue im having guys, is the angled edge of cuts....its thinner at the top....but the catch is, only on thinner material. On 1/8" its very noticable, but I just cut a piece of 3/8" and its...
Nothing needed. Just ordered the cable to connect from candcnc. That's what's I love about the candcnc!

Actually, since switching to the hypertherm, my z seems to be working good!

Yea, i got to tell you...everyone keeps talking about grounding, and shielding. I didn't ground ANYTHING. Yes, you head me right....NOTHING. Never had a problem!
Time wasted in an...
Finally broke down, droped the $2100 and bought a hypertherm45 with machine torch for my plasma table. Up until now ive been using the everlast plasma. The everlast kept losing arc, going through...
I did a little experiment (I felt like the mythbusters). My girlfriend helped me. I got an old motorcycle handgrip, about 1" dia and placed a ruler against it to represent the gear rack. One...
Wish you luck here man, and you definatly saved money, but i couldnt imagine building a cnc machine without using candcnc.....its hard enough to get everything working with a pre-built...
Having the problem that, even with candcnc set at 5% my Z tends to move too fast....and do the sewing machine style.
Im using Tulsa's Z axis, which consists of the stepper driving a gear rack...
I was told to use the mach3 post processor, and it works perfect.
tjb1: Yes, I do. Actually, having the empty water table works out perfect....all the router dust gets deposited right in the...
Jim, im ready to purchase a Hypertherm to replace my everlast. Any suggestions on where to buy, or possibly you have a hookup for cnczone members?
PM me....
Thanks,

BTW guys, the router I used is a Rigid R2401. You can find it here: Trim Router - RIDGID Professional Tools Its under $100 from Home Depot.
I got it all working tonight, and cut some 1" thick...
Totally agree guys...once you have a cnc table built, you can mount so many tools to it, there is no limit!
--John
If they are same v rails I'm using they are aluminum but the v part is hardened steel!
--John
I didn't realize you didn't go candcnc. I went with the candcnc and still there is a hudge learning curve, without it I can't imagine!
Your table design is literally exactly the same as mine!

No Ned to promote Jim....your customers do it for you. Every single person I have talked to says its a night and day difference. Hopefully by next month I'll be picking one up...

Jim, im using the everlast power plasma 50 with the hand torch (T45). I thought the hypertherm used the same torch, but now that I look i see its totally different. Why the heck do so many...
