Re: running ten stepper motors from PC?

Planet cnc still has the 9 axis controller. If that's enough, you can use it easy with normal Gcodes axis XYZABCUVW.
I use an old one already for year, but I only have four axis on my mill
  2. Re: Question about Leadshine DM556 Stepper Motor Driver

You can connect the UNO direct to the DM556.
The DM556 has optocoupler inputs that will work direct connected to the UNO.
connect the +5v of the uno to PULL + and DIR +
    connect any two digital...

    Re: 4PS Presision & Speed

this looks like a "normal" stepper motor. Stepper motors have permanent magnets.
does t have 4 wires then look at the size and find a motor the same size if possible the lowest inductance ( for...
  4. Re: Looking for help with TB6560 stepper motor driver.

Attached you will find the manual that I found. It looks that the small four pin connector is the one you are looking for.
You have to configure it in the software

Have a look at something like this
8 Output LEDs ULN2803 Module/Darlington Tube Module ( I found it on Aliexpress
It's cheap and I wouldn't be suprised if it dous the job only thing to take care,...

    Re: VFD Potentionometer

except fot the 12v which should be 10 volt, the diagram is correct.
The 10 Volt output is capable to deliver 20 mA so any pot which has a value greater than 500 Ohm will not overload this.
    A to...

    Re: VFD Potentionometer

The +10V power for analog input is indeed a output which can deliver a maximum of 20 mA
The return path for it is the GND analog signal common, so between these two terminals there should be 10 Volt...

Re: dm860h vs dm860ma stepper driver

I expect it to work. Your DM860H can be supplied with DC or AC while the DM860MA only had a DC input.
  10. Re: 5 phase 10 wire stepper with 5 Wire Pentagon drivers

You didn't attach any immage !!
I would first check the motor. Check each coil for it's resistance and if it doesn't have a short to the metal of the motor.
If that's all fine, be sure to have the...
  11. Re: Help wiring a Phytron CCD stepper motor driver

You can use a 24volt breakout board, or a "normal"5 volt breakout board and a level shifter from 5 to 24 volt. Take care , the level shifter needs to be fast enough ( your driver can handle 250Khz )

Re: DM 556 stepper motor contorller

You get a steady red light if there is a error AND the output is not switched off ( motor is blocked ) or the driver is defective.

    Re: Cooked stepper???

I am afraid you already gave the answer. 130 degrees is to much Look in the specs of your motors. These modern magnets are very strong, but don't like temperatures above 80 degrees.

  14. Re: CL86T Driver Issues - Closed Loop Stepper Driver

This might be due to the input of the driver which consist of a opto coupler.
The resistor internal is perhaps calculated for 5 volts which means that working on 24 volts input signal, the LED in...
  15. Re: CL86T Driver Issues - Closed Loop Stepper Driver

What kind of breakout board do you use, are you sure the input to the direction is good enough.

    Re: MX4660 Estop wiring

I am not familiar with the MX4660, but have good knowledge of electronics.
Connecting the E stop NC between the two ESTOP pins is a good way and that will work.
I expect that the drivers will be...

    Re: MX4660 shunt regulator option

How bad is the power in your area. A shunt regulator is a protection against over voltage.

  19. Re: Problem with MX4660 Fault output on DB25 PIN #15

connect the output with a resistor value between 1Kohm and 10Kohm to the + 5 Volt and check the output again. It might be a open collector output.

Re: How do I stop it ?

Most of these drives will have the output enabled ( working ) when the EN is not active.
If you connect the -EN to Gnd and the +EN to +5V the drive will most probably be disabled ( you can easy...
