YAY! I now have the G-Penny 3.2KW spindle on my CNC. Doing the final wiring for the VFD (Huanyang 220v 4.0kw). I hope to start programing this week. It looks like many of the setting are the same...
Trying to figure out how to send/receive info to my H100 VFD (Page 79). I have cheap a RS485 attached to both my RaspberryPi (USB) and my VFD (Twisted pair). I am able to get some basic...
Thanks. I will save a bit more cash and buy the full 3.2KW package with ceramic brearings @ 220V.
Taking your advise Mactec54. I am heading down the upgrade path. I am looking at a spindle in the 3KW range.
Specifically looking at G-Penny's aliexpress store. But I have a few questions.
Do...
My old setup process/settings
F013 = 8, Reset the VFD to factory defaults
F001 = 1, 0-10V RPM control
F002 = 1, Frequency from AI1
F005 = 400, Max Operating Frequency
F004 = 400, Ref Operating...
Sorry about the slow response. Had to install a new 120V 20A circuit in order to support my CNC. The test was simple. Set RPM to 24000, Set Z depth, travel 6" at 120IPM. 1/2" 2fl strait cut router...
F008 is hard set to 220V, cant be changed. But the sticker on the side of the VFD says "3HP 0-110V 17A 0-650HZ" (Pic attached in my first post). Ummm... Can I run at 240V? Any good way to verify...
Stock settings were:
F003=400
F004=400
F005=400
F006=1* (Intermediate frequency)
F007=0.5* (Maximum frequency)
F008=220* (Maximum voltage)
F009=12.6* (Intermediate voltage)
F010=13*...
I have so many dreams.... :-(
Thanks for the good video on PF.
Manual for my H100-1.5C2 VFD. "there may be some other Parameters I could look at"???
Now it gets complicated. My current VFD states 110V, 17A (Pictures in first post), or about 1.87Kw. But the VFD also states 1.5Kw. So the VFD burns off about 20% of its power as heat/conversion...
My spindle is 110V @ 8A. That's 880W (Assuming 110V * 8A is the correct math)? But the name plate also says 1.5kw.
Above example is 120V * 11A = 1320W. If there a conversion factor I am...
Bummer. I could bump up the max amps setting in the VFD, but I am really close to maxing the VFD. The motor is also close to maxed. I would rather avoid burning up anything in this process... I...
Yep, 240V. I have a 50A circuit normally used for charging the EV.
My 120V VFD is/was connected to a 20A circuit.
Yes, the 2.5A was on the VFD drive keypad screen. What's the math to get...
YAY! My shop moved and I now have access to a 220V single phase (NEMA 14-50 plug, USA). My current setup is a small 1.5Kw ER11 air cooled spindle and a 110V VFD. Currently when cutting through...
Currently running a little 1.5KW/110V spindle + VFD on my AvidCNC Benchtop PRO 2436. I am tired of stalling out when I go through hard woods.
I have about a $500 budget. 240V 50A circuit ready...
Thanks for the good info. Now to find a VFD with the proper spec's that I can afford.
Assuming I feed the VFD a proper 220V
So something like this one? MITSUBISHI FR-D720-042-N7 ?
I understand that VFD is only good for 4.2A@220V (924W), and my motor can handle 8A@110V(880W) (according to the name plate). But the logic...
I have a 20A circuit @ 120V. That should give me around 16A usable. 120v*16a = 1920watts (1.9KW). My spindle is only rated for 1.5KW. But I understand... Guess I need to solve this correctly an...
I was hoping for something a little better quality then the Huanyang VFD's.
I know I should be running 220V, but that's not an option in my shop. :-(
I have an air cooled spindle out of china. 24,000RPM, 2 Pole, 1.5KW (pic attached). I would like some advice on a VFD...
As the console port and ProTuner software works, I would guess they have ripped the firmware and forced it into a MCU/DSP that is was no designed for.
More pics attached. Interesting to note that the counterfeit DM556 has a very standard font. The genuine article seems to have a custom font /logo spelling out "Leadshine". Genuine product matches...
I voided the warranty!
Attached are the good pictures. The serial number is a dead give away. Mine says leadshine.com. The counterfeit one does not even list a web site.
Inside the PCB's are...
TLDR:
See the attached pics of real VS counterfeit Leadshine controllers. It's rather clear that while the counterfeit Leadshine controllers work, they are missing steps.
The long version:
I...

For the GR540 I would love to see a Serial/USB based management, debug, stats and firmware update capability. This would make deploying hundreds of GR540/GR560 really simple as I could just apply a...
For any one who many need replacement parts on the Z-Axis, I wanted to confirm that the Hiwin rails/blocks work perfectly (HGL25HA/HGR25R). Be careful as the common Hiwin blocks are the wrong size,...
