    Re: "Best" High End OEMs?

We're a job shop, so the more we can do with a machine, the better. Wood, plastic, foam, rubber, and aluminum. Mainly 0.125" - 2" thick 4'x8' - 5'x10' sheets. Twin vacuum bed. We use smaller stock...

    "Best" High End OEMs?

I've been given the opportunity to upgrade our first CNC router and this time around the budget is much higher. I'm interested in all the belles and whistles, service, and of course reliability. So,...

    OSAI - 2s Pause After Z rapids

Whenever I make a rapid Z moves, my CNC (NewCNC SMART ER II) pauses for ~2 seconds. Here's a sample drilling operation:

  4. Newb Looking For Easy-To-Use C-Axis CAM

Our machine has an OSAI controller and I'm looking for CAM software to make C-axis easy for cutting foams, corrugated, etc with reciprocating knives. Any recommendations?

    The CNC...
  6. Machine for Drilling Into 14ga Steel Tubing

Our Trak DPM SX2P took a tumble and is now laying on its side in a pool of its own oil, so we're in the market for a replacement.

The Trak used to do all of our operations, but we recently...
  7. Re: Boss is About to Drop 65k on a CNC Router. Better Suggestions?

I like the look of Komo, Thermwood, and Haas, but we need a vacuum table since we'll be milling 1/4" HDPE as well. It doesn't look like they offer one?

We've gotten pretty good at milling HDPE on...
  8. Re: Boss is About to Drop 65k on a CNC Router. Better Suggestions?

I can see their cheaper models are, but I'm looking specifically at the IS series which looks somewhat comparable.
  9. Re: Boss is About to Drop 65k on a CNC Router. Better Suggestions?

Have you used these personally? They're somewhat local for us, so that's a plus.

I like what I see from Sabre. I'm currently leaning towards them.
  10. Boss is About to Drop 65k on a CNC Router. Better Suggestions?

We don't know anything about the CNC router world, so I've come to you guys for help.

We need a CNC router with a 4'x'8' or larger table with a multi tool to change from milling to drilling...
