Here is a link to a backup of my parameters. The machine is Interact 1 MK II with TNC2500 Control.

I have been considering a retrofit conversion for this machine and would also like to hear any feedback on this. Ideally, I would like to reuse the servo and spindle motors because of the expense...
I am keeping my finger crossed that George is still around and can point me to the right direction. With the help of this forum, I was able to get my machine working since 2007. Unfortunaltely last...
Thank you greg. I will try to update the Constant contouring speed at corners and see if that helps eliminate the jerky movements.

Pali
Hi all,
I need to know what acceleration rates others are using for this machine. I have the machine with TNC 2500 and my acceleration is set to .03 MM/S for all three axis and the speed at...
It also enables the spindle brake/lock on my Interact 1 Mk2.
John,
I have the same exact machine and attached are my parameters. Hope they help.
Regards,
Pali
gus,
The acceleration for all 3 axis is set to .2 m/s2. It can be set from .001 to 3.0 m/s2.
Do you think this is too slow?
Regards,
Pali
Found a parameter for "Constant path speed at corners" which can be set between 0 - 179.99. My machine is set to 1.
Does anyone know what exactly this parameter controls?
Pali
Gus,
I just noticed your post after replying to bigbaz's comments. I am not using single axis movements, see code below.
Smooth Movements with the following code:
14 L Y-1.3100
15 CC X+1.9710...
Agreed. But...
I use CAM to generate the code as these are complex parts. It would not be efficient to add curves to programs that contain 2000+ lines. Just imagine a rectangle pocket that has 10...
bigbaz,
I know that adding radius at the end of each linear path would make the operation smooth but I am hoping that there is a way to achieve continues motion with straight linear paths. I...
Hi All,
When machining a part, my machine pauses for ~1 second after each linear movement and then starts again. Does anyone know what the cause is and if it could be corrected? I have attached a...
Thanks for the compliments. Its rendered using Brazil RS for 3DS Max.

Great to see other Rhino users. I started with Rhino about 4 years ago when I mostly used it for 3D graphics. Now I use it for CAD/CAM with RhinoCAM and simply love the setup.
Attached is one of...
George,
Thanks again for your support. I will export the parameter and send it to you Greg B.

I also have the same machine. I can send you my parameters also if someone could tell me how to backup the parameters from my machine first. Machine is connected to a computer via serial cable.

I am using a 4 flute carbide tool. How fast do you think I should make it? Also, should I use HSS or carbide tools for aluminum.
Thanks, Pali
Hi All,
I have been working with CNC milling for about 4 months now. I have read so much about High Speed Machining and would like to know from the experts here if the principles could be used to...
Hi All,
I am using RhinoCAM to post process toolpaths for Heidenhain TNC 2500 but the machine stops when there is a + sign for Z axis? Does anyone why this is happening and what I need to do to...
All,
I finished tweaking the machine and everything looks good now, Thanks George and Farzin. One minor thing that confused me during the setup is that according to the notes I have a P90M motor...
George and Farzin,
I finally manged to get the machine working. It turned out that the problem was due to incorrect phase rotation. I changed L1,L2, & L3 phases and adjusted the MTI-1 board as per...
Here are some pictures to show where the problems are.

I am getting the same error with my new machine. Every time, I try to start the spindle, the Fuse 2 on board (MTI-1 I believe) separate from the drive goes off. The drive is a FAC-1R KTK. Many of the...
JRouche and Dave,
I am trying to setup a similar setup for my Bridgeport CNC mill and have not been able to get a balanced output. I have 20 HP American Rotary Phase Converter and a Step Up...
Does anyone know what the issue may be? Could it be a bad spindle motor / spindle drive? There is a smell that comes from the spindle before the overheat sensor goes off.
I desperately need help...
Ok,
This is really starting to scare me now. I have tried reversing the phase so that the fan blows up - into the spindle motor and I still get the spindle thermostat problem. This is after a new...
George:
I connected the phase converter and the transformer myself so there is a good chance that I have mixed the phases. I have 4 wires coming out of the machine, brown, orange, yellow, green...
Hi,
I recently aquired a Bridgeport Iteract 1 Mk2 with TNC 2500 control and am running the machine through a Phase converter (3 HP) + Step-Up transformer (15KVA). The machine is powered for 460...
