The factory designed and built this head based on the standard bearings from the original IH head. So 4000rpm is about the recommended max. Unfortunately when I asked the factory for more of them...

I personally have never run an X3 before but I do find the gears of the MD003 surprisingly quiet. I don't find the machine noisy at all.
