    Re: Andriod UI

That app requires the use of some sort of BlueTooth device to connect to the machine's control card, does it not?

As unreliable as BlueTooth seems to be around my place, I'm not sure I want an...

    ::)

Glad to help when I can. :)
  3. Re: What is the smallest router bit for cutting wood for a CNC machine?

It's easy to find 0.4mm end mills for sale.

Trust me, they're much smaller than you could possibly use in your projects.

If they're not, by some magic, I can look around casually and find...

    Re: 3018 cnc

We'd be better able to help out if we knew which board and which firmware you're running, what your settings are, whether the board was shipped originally with the machine, whether it's ever been...

    Re: Help?

It's highly unlikely that anyone will ever use any of these topheavy programs "to their full capacity". Each customer will use only the subset of functionality that pertains to their work, leaving...

I think that it's a shameless plug for a worthless Web page.

Re: Input on DIY budget machine

If the raw material is "kinda' large, consider that it will also be (a) exceedingly expensive and (b) exceedingly heavy. I don't think you're ready for either of those.

    Count on real-world...

    Re: pcb mill

Same machine is a lot cheaper on Amazon. You can get the 30x18mm version on Amazon for less than US$200. You get some buyer protection through Amazon, too.

Re: Help Needed: Identify controller board

My money says that it's the 3-axis version of the (discontinued) HobbyCNC 4AUPC.

What sort of help do you need? You haven't told us much yet.

    Equivalent to what?

Re: Help with tuning Stepper motor

It should. Monitor its current and observe the voltage at the motor. As long as you limit the current, the voltage at the motor will be self-limiting to whatever voltage can push your current through...
  12. Re: What hand tools could I use to make a cheap prototype to see if something is viab

Hand tools? Really? It's POSSIBLE to build that receiver using nothing more than a hacksaw, a pocketful of files, and some sort of drill.

It's difficult. It's much moredifficult with machines,...

Re: Is 10W laser safe on 3018 pro CNC?

Here's one opinion, for what it's worth. :)

That machine should have no trouble powering a 10W laser; the 775=profile spindle motor in the router version of the same machine is rated for 288W...
