Look at page 68.
Not exact, but - maybe close enough.
Haven't actually tried! Had too many house issues, finding a new career/job, etc etc....
Just milled out a few things here and there for small jobs. Nothing round needed doing yet. :)
I just checked a few of the floppies I still have laying around - same deal, the drive select are all soldered (not jumpered).
It's been a while granted, but weren't 720K drives still double...
If your machine has PCI ports, could you get a USB adapter (PCI), then use a USB floppy drive?
Soooooo.....
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
They even look better (than the 24") in your pics!
Probably made at different foundries - paint is a different color even.
edit: Doh! Grizzly. Somehow I thought HF. Ugh. Ignore me! :D
I was going to pick up there 24" 3in1 machine. But I looked at it in person, and changed my mind. The castings looked really poor, and the general "feel" of it just wasn't... right...
Could...
Yup... Could just do it by hand for myself.
I just thought it might be nice for everyone, if someone could whip up some code.
I was just thinking (yeah, generally bad idea...) about doing a vac table setup.
I'll probably go MDF, so when it inevitably gets cut up, it's cheap quick and easy to replace. I was going to go...
If you print a pair, remember to leave a little circle indent where you can press a couple of neo-d magnets into!
Try pulling all the RAM out (assuming it's all socketed) and reseating it.
If it will run long enough - download a copy of MEMTest86. Do the bootable CD version to eliminate any windows errors,...
I know my blast cab doesn't like having a ton of sand on the intake tube. If you find it not working as well as expected, put in just enough to keep the inlet covered while blasting.
While digressing from the topic....
I find it odd that some people think its ok to send messages to people quite obviously in a foreign land - and they mis spell words, use abbreviations and...
(side note: always blows me away how slow their site is!! product arrives at my door before the site finishes loading saying it's been shipped. :D )
Aaaaaanyhow.... yeah, says it's opto...
Some have opto isolators. Some not!
Some can be switched in/out on/off.
Model #'s etc would help.
I'd heard a few people had issues with the machining, so when I bought my set from them I had them sent untouched.
No issues with the product itself!
Then I just machined the ends myself.
Totally! Tool destruction is MUCH more thorough now as a bonus.
I've also managed to start to hone my reaction time in leaping for the E-stop button, and have considered adding more of them. :)
As brutal as it is... Have you tried MEK yet?
(Methyl ethyl ketone)
Seems to dissolve everything. Including brain cells, skin... Heh...
Follow up (you know - for anyone keeping score!).
My KL34H280-45-8B showed up today in the mail.
Pulled off the old one, machined up a new coupling (old was 14mm, new was 1/2"), slapped it on...
Fine!
You smell. Yo momma dresses you funny. And your car needs an oil change. :D
But seriously folks...
Other than a few bracing for rigidity things, this really reminds me of my first...
I have no idea! Never did. Never will. You saw nothing. ;)
I was on the safety committee for the last place I worked at (major engine manufacturer).
One thing we did, was once a month assigned 2 people to do a walk around of the whole plant looking for...
Guess mine was a monday morning, or friday afternoon production run.
Hopefully yours was/will be made on a Wednesday. :D
But yeah, if I get motivated enough to fix it, I'll try to film it.
Good plan.
So, took the chuck off the backing plate (bolted on with 3 8mm bolts, that are just a hair too long to be able to be removed without removing the backing plate). Runout across the face...
Yeah! 6:71 Roots. Was going to go with the 8:71, but didn't want to seem pretentious. ;)
(of course, it could be the one that BD Tools aka Billy sells)
Update on the runout video (I updated the video to reflect BTW).
I grabbed various rods (mostly tooling bits) and chucked them up. I got very consistent readings across all of them, and saw up to...
Didn't. Now I do! :D

You have whale cutters?! That's awesome! Will yours handle a Blue? I can't do anything over a Minsk with the one I have.
