Your mounting holes for the switches and the "L" tab which trips the switch should be there. I believe Automation Direct limit switches have the same bolt pattern as the original switches.

I don't know for sure what it is, but those old steppers can be flakey. People have reported problems with them in the past. I think most people put modern steppers on their machines.

If they are like my BP limit switches, the top rubber seal is either missing or leaking bad. My switches were filled with oil also. I cleaned them out when I rebuilt the hardware.
