Actually, I got the V26 upgrade and premium support.
Bobcad sent me an invoice for $2191.00 for a 12 month subscription for my 4 axis Pro including premium tech support.
Unfortunately this is way outside my budget
That's a per revolution feed rate. It can be changed in your post processor.
Hi DRock,
I found that if you talk to them and let them know what your requirements are, they will back off. If you ignore them, they will keep trying to contact you.
Doug
I sent you a pm

Hi DRE,
I know my machine gets real moody when it cold. The limit switch will be a proximtry sensor. I will look up the code in the diagnostics manual.
doug
Probably a sticky valve or position sensor. What is the exact warning?
Does it work correctly after you realign?
I run a 5VC-750 mill with acramatic 900 control.

Had a computer problem over the weekend and ended up doing a recovery on my computer. I called Bobcad on Monday and left a message understanding they would be closed for the holidays. They called...
What I was trying to explain was maybe the control is looking for a start point for the arc, say in line N05 so it has a point to calculate the arc from. I am not familiar with the Haas control but I...
Just a thought, what happens if you remove the "G17" out of line 6 as it is already specified in the start code ?
Also, is your G54 word actually giving you a start point for your arc?
Hi Jest,
If you remove "zero_position_x" from "3. Tool change" and" 4. Null tool change" it seems to resolve the problem. Not real sure why it is there, it's not in the 4x post.
doug
Hi Jest,
It does it on your post though.
doug
Hi Jest,
On my first try I can not reproduce the error. I 'll try it with your modified post.
doug
Hi Jest,
Could you attach your post processor?
Doug
Sorry, I see you already specified it .
Have you tried backing off your machining tolerances until it will calculate. It sounds to me like your system is getting bogged down and tripping an error.
Just a thought.
doug
Edit: sorry I...
I played a little with the adaptive pocketing. Everything looked good, simulated fine and then posted the toolpath 2" above the part. Could someone try a simple pocket with adaptive rough turned on...
Hey Mike,
Try setting predator to no parity. My acramatic 900 (Siemens) requires this. Just a thought.
Doug
Edit: Scratch that , it was machine set to no parity and the dnc software to even...
If I remember correctly you have to draw your stock.
Also use "clean up and optimize" and possibly "erase doubles" in case there are any gaps or doubles in the geometry.
doug
Have you been to the Bobcad website? Check under the support tab.

The main problem is that these pockets are in an involute pattern. It's not just a textured finish.

Hi Al,
What I am trying to do is create 400+ ball endmill sized pockets in the bottom of a mold. I was hoping there was a quick and easy way to trim the toolpath curves that I was going to use 3d...
Is it possible to trim or extend a line to a surface?
Doug
I am running an older control and using mill pro. Thank you for your suggestions and I will give them a try.
Hi Ed,
Try "trim two entities".
doug
Using Z level rough and finish.
I have attached the file I was working with.
Hi Al,
I see an arc fit tolerance, that I am using. I guess what I am looking for though is how much tolerance does it take.
Doug
Hi Guys,
Is there any way to get Bobcad V25 to output a helical toolpath on leadin instead of line segments on 3d toolpaths. I know I saw SBC's post on scripting somewhere here but I'll be darned...
Nate,
I noticed that there is no material showing in your cam tree, maybe go back and rerun the stock wizard to confirm the material you are working with.
doug
Still doesn't work here.
