    Re: Tormach sales

It would be nice if Tormach could warehouse machines in Canada for shipment to Canadian customers thus avoiding the import duties the USA charges on Chinese products. CNC mills, lathes and most other...

    Re: Spindle rebuild NM-135

Unanswered emails is not like Novakon. John is really good at responding. I don't think I ever waited more than a day for a response and usually much less than that.

    Re: NM-135 gibs adjustments

A quick search found the 135 manual like you said without pictures.

  5. Re: Anyone considering the centroid Acorn instead of path pilot?

That's good news. I'm thinking of picking up a Drewtronics probe as well. My TP1000 probe seems to misbehave from time to time.

  6. Re: Anyone considering the centroid Acorn instead of path pilot?

I think John is aiming his new mill at the Tormach MX market with the Siemens control, all servo motors, rigid tapping and a 6,000 to 9,000 RPM Spindle. I am sure the price will be higher as well. He...
  7. Re: Anyone considering the centroid Acorn instead of path pilot?

That is good news. Which Drewtronic's probe do you have, the TTS shank or the 3/8" shank?

Take a look at this Meanwell PS. Ships from Canada and CSA approved.

Try messaging Ray. He designed the PDB. Any help from John?
  10. Re: Just had to post a few videos of my new Automate CNC mill

Thanks for the rely. I hope to add a second mill in the coming months and was thinking 1100MX looks like the 550 Pro could be a mill to put on the list to research further.

  11. Re: Just had to post a few videos of my new Automate CNC mill

Looks like a really nice set up. I'd like to hear how it compares the the Tormach mills. Please report back after a few months use and let us all know. Is the Siemens control a step up from...

    Re: PP 2,2,4 released

I pretty sure I upgraded from 1.9.13. I know I was running 1.9.8 for the longest time then ran the final updated just before doing the backup.

I ran the admin setting backup then updated to 2.0...

    Re: PP 2,2,4 released

When I updated PathPilot to 2.0 I too lost all my tool table offsets. Tools were there but the tool lengths were reset to zero.

    Re: Tormach PCNC 770 - Mach 3 - Windows 10

I think you would need an Ethernet Smooth Stepper board.

  16. Re: what code for a tool change to eliminate the user confirmation pop up

Thanks for posting your macros. Have you seen this video? He moves the winerack out of the way when milling.

Did you post a video of your wine rack atc on youtube or is this someone else? Can you post your subroutine for others who might find this useful?

  18. Re: what code for a tool change to eliminate the user confirmation pop up

You may find the answer in this video. He made a wine rack tool changer for his Tormach as well.

I did the same with mine... use the remote. I had to search the forum here when I purchased the 17" Monoprice touch screen.

    Re: PathPilot 2.2.2 Pulsar

So I went and installed PathPilot's 2.x updates incrementally and found you can safely update to version 2.1.5. PP v2.1.6 is where the the problem starts. So I will stick to version 2.1.5 until I...

    PathPilot 2.2.2 Pulsar

I have been using PathPilot 2.0.0 since Brian Posted his files back in December '17 without any issues. Today, I decided to connect the internet to the mill to save running around with the usb drive....
  22. Re: Anyone considering the centroid Acorn instead of path pilot?

I am glad you have your Torus Pro up and running. Sounds like you did not have any real problems.

I am looking for a used Pulsar BOB for another project that I've been tinkering with.
  23. Re: Anyone considering the centroid Acorn instead of path pilot?

What mill do you have? What are you doing with the Novakon BOB?
    Steve
  24. Re: Anyone considering the centroid Acorn instead of path pilot?

    Please keep them coming...
  25. Re: Anyone considering the centroid Acorn instead of path pilot?

My mistake, Novakon was pursing the UCCNC ETH-400 not the Acorn controller.
